"big girl" - jensen's daughter

Y/N's POV:

Hi I'm Y/N, I'm 8 years old and my mommy and daddy are really good parents. My dad, Jensen is the best dad in the world, he helps me every time I need him and I love him so much! He's my hero. And mommy, she's the coolest mom out there, I got really lucky! Oh and I have a big sister, JJ. She's so cool, she does everything by herself, I wish I was like her. She even sleeps in her own room and not with mom and dad! She's 12, I wish I was as cool as her.

It's pretty late at night right now, almost 10 pm, but mom and dad let me stay up because there was a movie we all wanted to watch, but since it's done now I think we're all going to bed. I always sleep with my parents, it's scary when you're alone in a room, so they always let me sleep with them.

"JJ, honey, will you go brush your teeth and get ready for bed? It's getting late." Dad asks my big sister kindly, she nods to him and sends a smile before getting up from the couch and going upstairs to get ready for bed. I got up from the couch too and started following JJ, but before I could leave mommy stopped me.

"Y/N, can you sit down with us for a moment? We want to talk to you about something." Mommy asks, I don't think much of it and I just sit down on the couch again and look at both of them alternatively.

"Baby, we think it might be time for you to sleep on your own, you're a big girl now, 8 years old! Wouldn't it be really nice to sleep by yourself in peace and quiet?" Dad asks. Oh no. I mean, it would be cool, I could be all grown up like JJ, but I could never sleep alone. What about monsters, and the dark? I hate the dark.

"What? No daddy I don't want to. I like sleeping with you and mommy!" I say, looking at them both.

"We know honey, and we love sleeping with you too, but we think it's time for you to sleep in your own room and get used to that instead." Mommy says with a kind smile. She always smiles kindly when we talk about these kinds of things. Almost like she feels bad for me or something, I don't know why.

"No no no, I don't want to sleep alone. I wanna sleep with you! I hate it alone. I hate my room!" I speak in the beginning, but end up yelling at the end of that sentence. I'm mad. They don't wanna sleet with me anymore. They want me to be a big girl like JJ. I wanna be JJ too, but I'm not.

"Y/N honey," Mom starts, she sounds more stern in her tone of voice. "You're sleeping in your room tonight, end of discussion. Now let's go get ready for bed." Mom stands up, so does daddy but I don't want to. I just wanna sleep with them to be safe, how can they not see that?

"Come on baby." Dad says as he helps me up from the couch. I just stay silent, I'll figure out a way to sleep with them before they go to bed. I'm not sleeping alone.

We all go to our bathrooms, mom and dad go get ready for bed in their bathroom and I join JJ in her's and my bathroom. As we all finish brushing our teeth and we're all wearing pajamas, I see JJ going into her room and getting into bed. Soon after dad walks into her room and over to the side of her bed.

"Goodnight J-bird, I love you." He says and kisses her forehead, before turning off the big light and walking out of her room, closing the door behind him. He looks down at me standing before him outside of JJ's room.

"Alright little missy, time for bed." He smiles as he picks me up. At first I'm thinking we're walking to their room, but he walks into my bedroom instead. I see the pictures and stuffed animals around my room and realize where we are.
