Tom's POV

Last night in response to Ciara's message I wrote back I am quite lucky to become acquainted with you if I do say so myself.

Extremely casual right?

I am already going soft for her god help me no turning back now. Right at this moment there really was no turning back seeing as I decided to approach Ciara without any topics of conversation.

"Hello new friend."

"Hi!" She smiles and closes her locker. Ciara turned to face me. Just as I said before I had no topics of conversation preplanned so I have no clue what to talk about. We fell silent.

"Uh could I ask you something?" She asked, tucking a strand of hair behind her ear as she stepped closer to me.

"Of course."

"Are you free later?"

"Free for what?"

"To hang out?" I stayed silent, "We don't have to I just thought-"

"I am free and if I was not I would have made time."

She nods as a red tint covered her cheeks, "Do not be nervous I adore your presence."

"Sorry I just- nothing never mind uh do you like games?"

"Yes I suppose I do."

She nods thinking for a second, "Do you wanna meet up later? At the arcade a few blocks away from here?"

"I love that idea but how about I come to pick you up instead?" I suggested.

"Yea for sure that works." She smiled, "Could we walk there? I need the exercise."

Oh my dear blossom... have you even seen yourself?

"Alright sounds good I will see you later then, right gorgeous?" She nodded and gave me a small wave before heading to her class.

I knock on the large wooden door twice before taking a step back. A few moments later I heard the door being unlocked, soon enough Ciara's head was peeking out from behind the door.

"Oh it's you hey!" Her frightened expression turned into a happy one.

I nod, "Yes it is."

Ciara opened the door wider, grabbing her things from a table next to her she walked out next to me and locked the door. I walked down the stairs of her front porch, standing silently with my hands in my pockets.

"Tom?" I looked up at Ciara, she was standing at her front door fiddling with her keys.

"Yes darling?"

"How do you know where I live?"

"You told me." I responded out of instinct.

"I did?" I nod, "Oh I'm sorry I didn't remember."

I waved her off, "That is alright we should get going."

Ciara and I walked into the arcade. Groups of people walked around, smiling and laughing. Couples were holding hands and whispering amongst themselves.

It took me a moment to realize that Ciara had stepped closer to me.

"Where do we exchange cash for the gam-" I was cut off when Ciara grabbed my forearm and pulled me with her to the right.

Ciara and I lined up to exchange cash for change and get wristbands. When it was our turn I silently gave the man behind the counter some cash, in return he handed me loads of quarters as well as dollars. He also handed me a red wristband.
