Enemies to Lovers

Part 10

You pick a cute little coffee shop that is suppose to have the best bakery in New York.
You walk in with Tony, Nastasha and Bucky behind you all wearing hats and sunglasses so they don't get recognized as the Avengers. Where as you are only wearing tights, an oversized t-shirt that Bucky has left in your room from the night he slept on your sofa and sneakers. Bucky realized you wore it once you stepped out of the car and smiled at himself as he likes seeing you in his clothes.
You and Bucky walk out of the cafe first while Tony and Natasha wait for their orders so you can grab a table outside.
"Nice shirt." Bucky says with a smirk as he pulls out a chair for you to sit.
"Yea some guy just left it on my floor. So, finders keepers." You say with a small laugh and drink your coffee.
Trying not to blush Bucky takes a sip of his coffee and looks away. Bucky staring off in the distance and puts his coffee down.
"What?" You ask and turn around to see what he's looking at but nothing is there beside a black car.
"Nothing. I thought I saw-." Before Bucky could finish there was an explosion behind you and Bucky tossed the table aside with his metal arm to get to you faster and cover you from the blast. Now kneeling on the ground with Bucky hovering over you Natasha and Tony run outside to see what happened.
"You okay?" Tony asks and knelt on the other side of you.
"Yea." You say and look over to Bucky who has his arm wrapped around you and pulled into his chest. Bucky looks down at you with a scared look on his face. But the fear wasn't for himself, it was for you. The Terrorists who threatened you were still after you and apparently they were waiting for the perfect moment to strike.
"Ugh guys. We got incoming." Natasha says standing next to Tony looking at the explosion to see 5 guys with guns walking towards you.
Tony stands up and taps the glowing arc reactor on his chest and his suit materializes out of it and wraps around Tony. Natasha pulls out a gun from her jacket and loads it.
"Bucky, get y/n out of here now." Tony says and flies towards the men and starts firing.
"What? No!" You yell as Bucky still has his arms wrapped around you kneeling down.
"Go! There's probably more on the way. We will meet you back at the compound." Natasha says and starts to fire.
"Come one." Bucky says as he grabs your hand and runs the opposite way.
"What are you doing? This is what I've been training for!" You say trying to stop Bucky as he's pulling you into a run.
"We aren't prepared and you are not armed." Bucky says Turing down the street where the car is parked. "Get in." Bucky says as he opens the door for me and gently pushes me in and closes the door when someone from behind us starts shooting. Bucky takes cover at the front of the car and yells at me to stay down.
"Hell no." You say to yourself and tap your watch to let the glove materialize.
"Well I guess I'm going to test this in the field." You say and open the door to face the shooter and start firing. You hear Bucky yelling at you but you can't make out what he's saying over the noise. You take one shot but miss and hit a parked car instead and it explodes.
"Oops." You say and fire again but adjusting your aim and you hit the terrorist in the chest and he falls down.
The shots stop and Bucky is able to stand up and push you back into the car and he gets in the drivers seat and speeds away.
"You should've stayed in the car!" He yells in anger speeding around cars.
"I just saved your ass. How about a thank you?" You say angrily.
"You don't understand y/n. They will not stop until you are either dead or they capture you to get revenge on Tony." He says and makes a sharp turn down another street.
"That was reckless. Especially with a proto type you just built. What if it didn't work?" He asks speeding through a red light.
"Why are you getting so mad?!" You yell back at him and he slams on the break in a parking garage to hide.
"Because I care about you and I rather you not die!" He yells. You look at him and can see the fear and can tell he's trying to hold back tears.
"Bucky..-" you start to say softly but get interrupted when the back of the car explodes causing it to flip over.
