Enemies to Lovers

Part 17

Later that night as you lay awake in bed, tossing and turning but can't fall asleep due to the loud thunder storm outside. You sit up and stare out the window to see lightening and the rain hitting the window. Annoyed, you sit up and go to open the bedroom door to see Bucky standing there about to knock.
"Fuck Bucky! You scared the hell out of me." You say quietly but angrily and step aside to let him in your room.
"Sorry, didn't mean too." Bucky says as you close the door behind him.
"I was coming to see if you were awake."
"Why?" You ask standing in front of him, looking up to see his expression; worry.
"I don't like the idea of leaving you here tomorrow."
"I won't be alone. Nat is staying with me." You say reassuring him. "I'll be fine. It's you that I'm worried about."
"No, I mean I don't ever want to leave you." Bucky says moving closer to you and places his hands on your waist. You wrap your hands around his neck and slightly go on your tip toes.
"Then don't." You whisper and start to kiss him. Bucky returns the kiss but pulls away.
"Can we sleep? Please." He asks with a hint of sadness and worry in is voice.
"Of course." You say and give him one more quick kiss before laying in bed with Bucky next to you, holding you close.
It wasn't long until you both fell asleep and did not wake up again. It was by far the best sleep either of you had in a long time.

You wake up the next morning to find that Bucky hasn't left and his still holding you close. You turn to face him as he begins to wake up as well.
Bucky opens his eyes and smiles. "Good morning sunshine." You say with a small laugh.
"Good morning beautiful." He says and kisses your nose as you squint. "How did you sleep?"
"Honestly, that was the best sleep I've had in years."
"Me too." Bucky says and places his right hand on your check.
"Y/n?" Tony says from the other side of your door with a knock. "You awake?"
"Shit!" You whisper in a panic as Bucky is in your bed.
"What do we do?" Bucky asks sitting up. You shake your head and shrug.
"Y/n?" Tony asks again and you push Bucky off your bed and onto the floor as he hides.
"Yes?" You say and Tony opens the door.
"Hey, you getting up? We are leaving soon."
"Yea, I'll meet you down there in a few minutes." You say trying to act normal.
Tony nods and closes the door.
You let out a deep breath as Bucky laughs while still laying on the floor on he other side of the bed.
"Shut up!" You laugh and throw a pillow at him. Bucky stands up and sits beside you. You look at him and he places his hand on your check and you lean into it.
"I'm coming back to you. Don't worry." He says and pulls you into a kiss. You try to hold back your tears and kiss him back.
You pull away and smile at him. "We should go downstairs." You say and get up. You get dressed in Bucky's blue shirt and jeans.
You open the door to make sure no one is in the hallway and quickly have Bucky leave. You then go downstairs to living room where the others are standing around.
"Morning sleepy head." Nat says as she sees you walk down the stairs.
"Steve, where's Bucky?" Tony asks annoyed.
"Not sure. He wasn't in his room when I checked." Steve said as you are trying to keep a straight face.
"Relax. I'm right here." Bucky says walking down the stairs with a red shirt, jeans and a jacket.
"Finally. Let's get going. We will go over everything on the jet." Tony says and the others start to leave and Bucky nods at you and follows Steve.
Tony stayed behind for a minute to talk to you first. "Do I really need to stay here?" You ask concerned.
"It's my fault this happened. I need to make it right." He says. "We will be back soon." Tony says and leaves to catch up with the others.
Natasha steps closer to you and places her arm around your shoulders. "Don't worry. They'll be fine." She says reassuring you but you can hear the concern in her voice.
