In the 10th-grade year, I became more level-headed. More practical to my own thinking and I vowed to stay stubborn in keeping my energy up and away from negativity.

But with Hyunjin as a neighbor who's constantly around It felt almost impossible.

My crush on him had long gone and I should say I was more irritated with having him around than giddy.

Him just opening his mouth pissed me off.

"May I have a glass of water?" He holds a cup out to me and I turn back to my homework putting my AirPods in so he knows I'm trying to ignore him.

"The sink is in the kitchen"

"I'm your guest, Are you not going to serve me?" Does he hear himself? He sounds pathetic what did I ever see in him honestly.

I chose to ignore him and he finally sighs and walks away. But to my disadvantage, he came back only to sit in front of me at the dining table this time with a glass of water in hand.

I should have stayed home" Hyunjin complains as if I cared to have a conversation with him.

"Then why didn't you?!" I ask nonchalantly not taking my eyes off of the assignment in front of me.

"Geez Lee could you at least pretend to like me?!"

"Why should I?... Also, you live across the street why don't you just leave..go!" I wanted it to be known that I didn't want to be around him why didn't he take a hint.

"I'm still older than you Lee! You need to at least show me a little respect!" I slammed my pencil down, not hard enough to alarm everyone though, and gave Hyunjin a blank look before snorting and laughing out loud.

"Respect you? Why would I respect you?" I could tell my words got to him because his lips formed a thin line.

For someone with big lips that seemed hard. I really pushed him huh.

"Remember that Lee"

"I will!"

11th grade came around just as fast and I started to grow more...attractive.

Not to toot my own horn but I was probably the hottest guy in my grade. I wasn't a nobody anymore I made more friends, got my first kiss, and unfortunately was still neighbors with Hyunjin.

I found myself attending his parties just for laughs of course. He was just as stubborn and annoying as last year.

I smirked to myself whilst kissing the guy I knew he was trying to get at for the past hour. I could feel his eyes burning into me as I pushed the tipsy boy against the counter-pressing harder into the kiss.

"Uhm Felix," Chan says scratching his head next to me. "Hyunjin looks pissed at you" He warned but I ignored knowing the hothead was going to interrupt us anyways.

"That's enough get the hell out loser," He says to the boy pushing him out of the kitchen and facing back to me with bloodshot eyes.

The music was so loud I could barely hear what the hell he was slurring around.

"I don't believe I invited you Felix why don't you go back to your own house!"

"If I leave the party will only just follow me...your lucky I came this is a snooze fest" I say lifting my red solo cup up to my lips only for Hyunjin to snatch it out of my hand and throw it into the sink behind me.
