The bustling atmosphere of the diner was the same as always when Y/N walked through the door, the bell ringing aboving them. They scanned the sea of heads in search for one waitress in particular. It didn't take long to find leaning up against the counter near the front. With a spring in their step they approached.

"Angie! Hi!" They said with a cheerful tone in their voice. The waitress looked up with a smile to the familiar voice along with a touch of confusion in her expression.

"Y/N," she said. "Peggy's not here anymore, she went back to work."

"That's okay," they nodded, "I came here to talk to you."

"Shoot," Angie said, gesturing for them to go on.

"So, I might kind of... like Peggy."

"I knew it."

"I want to do something nice."

"She doesn't tell a lot of people this, but her birthday is in a month. April 9th."

"I can work with that," Y/N said, shooting her a sideways smile.

The attention of the two friends was diverted by the sound of the bell above the door ringing again, signaling that another customer had entered the diner. They turned to look who it was only to immediately recognize it as Peggy, holding a note in her hand. She smiled at them as she approached, slightly confused to see that Y/N had returned.

"Peggy!" Angie greeted her with a nervous smile.

"I'm here with the lunch order for the office," she said, gesturing to the note. This earned her a disappointed look from Y/N.

"This is why I stole you away," they said with a blank expression.

"I'm sorry, but I couldn't just skip work," Peggy said.

"That's fair, but taking everyone's lunch orders," they said, snatching away the note, "isn't work."

Peggy only shrugs in response before Angie speaks up again. "I'll get it ready for you," she grabbed the note and walked off behind the counter. The two watched as the waitress walked off before turning to face each other again. Peggy opened her mouth to speak but Y/N was quicker.

"I should get back home," they said in a fast pace. "I'll see you later."

"Oh," she mumbled. She stood there and watched for the second time that day, Y/N exiting the diner and walking out onto the street to return home once again. Peggy's mind was filled with questions at this time. Did she do something to make Y/N not want to stop and speak to her? Did something happen?

"Oh!" Y/N exclaimed as they entered the hallway of the house. "Jarvis!"

"Yes, Y/N?" Jarvis said with his usual polite smile.

"Have you seen Anna?" they asked, resting their arm on the banister of the staircase. "I need to talk to her."

"I believe she is in our bedroom," Jarvis said. "Why-" He started to speak but let the words fall into the air once he noticed Y/N's quick departure up the staircase, headed for Jarvis's room where Anna was presumed to be.

"Y/N!" Anna said with a cheerful smile on her face once she noticed Y/N coming through the door of the bedroom she shared with her husband.

"Hey," Y/N returned her smile as they shut the door behind them, "I need your help with a little something."

"What is it?"

"Can you keep a secret?"

Anna nodded in response and Y/N turned their head back to the door to confirm that they had indeed closed it before continuing to speak.

"I wanna do something nice for Peggy's birthday," Anna smiled at this and there was a short pause. "I was hoping you could put your magic hands to work and help me with a gift."

"Of course! And don't worry, I won't tell a soul."
