Chapter VII 2: Adrenaline.

After the plane landed safely at the ground, I was out bh a second barking instructions. A few minutes later Hooks were at the small Village's tall walls. I grasped a rope and started climbing.

" Move it! " I yelled.

By every second passing I was feeling more hopeless. But I gotta move forward, Eun Min was just beneath this walls. After this i'll have my little Lee in my arms, safe and sound.

I held a breath as I climb another brick wall, balancing my feet as I stand at the top of the wall I saw the whole view of the environment.

Beneath this walls were burned houses and broken cars, the only building standing tall was an old SSIA slaughterhouse. Lee's inside.

The place was surrounded my atleast a hundred of armed men, with balls of steel.

" That is so wrong, " Stace cringed.

I arched an eyebrow at her then she nod.

Bomi smirks. " Balls of steel, huh? "

I rolled my eyes and jumped down the wall to the other side, making sure I land silently swift. The others followed behind and waited for my orders excitedly, as they lined up.

" I will go on ahead inside. I want the rest of you to give a clear path until I reach the Slaughterhouse, after than Team 7 and 10 will rendezvous at the back exit of the. Shoot anything at eyesight. " I explained.

Everyone got in their position while I stayed back at my spot. Kneeling in one knee, I raised my hand and took the safety pin of my gun off. Then a missing bullet hit one guard.

I pulled his body behind one broken brick wall and stripped his jacket and pants off, with much hesitant, I wore the new uniform.

My throat suddenly dried and the small water battle he has in his hands looks tempting, I drank the water then spit at the second gulp as it tasted stale. I shook my head.

I feel like I'm going to have a headache.

" Ready. " I whispered to myself.

I tipped my hat at Bomi, the signal.

She sighed reliefed, whistling loudly then everyone started shooting any guards at her eyesight as I slipped inside the house.

My eyes raked the place, it was dark and quiet. Too quiet. The place was divided into three halls, which are probably empty.

" You're hurting me. " A voice whimpered.

I became alarmed. " Lee Min! "

Adrenaline pulsed at my veins after I ran after the voice, but the voice was echoing making it hard to define where it's coming from.

" Save me please! " I followed the muffled voice of my daughter down to one hall to find what seems like a bookshelf slightly open.

I pried the bookshelf open and saw a staircase going down, before I could even take a step a hand grabbed me at the back.

" Don't go on by yourself. " Bomi snickered.

I sighed and pry my hands away from her before walking down the staircase, making sure I won't be making much noise as darkness enveloped around me and the others.

" Eun Min please... " She cried.

My heart clenched as I reached the end of the staircase. My feet dragged me even though I refuse to, my fingers trailled over her features.

" You're hurting me. " It said.

My fist clenched. " Save me please! "

" Eun Min please... " It repeated again.

I stared at the small television that's in the middle of the room, I watched as my daughter as she struggled at her chair repeatedly.

Tears were streaming down her rosy cheeks.

And seeing the film repeat multiple times could've killed me already. This is silent torture.

Her eyes looking back at the camera hunted me, her orbs that resemble my hazel ones starinf back at me. Never had I seen so much fear.

Never had I felt so helpless.

I rose my fist and aimed it to the television until a hand touched my shoulder and I flinched. It was Kris and he was badly bruised.

" I'm sorry... " he whispered.

The lights around the room opened and I saw Mai leaning over a chair that resembles a throne at a corner. She smiled menacingly.

I ran to her fist up ready to hit her square in the face but some force hit me at the chest, I staggered a few steps back. I went down in one knee and started coughing blood.

" I'll kill you, " I murmured.

She chuckled. " There's only two ways to defeat me, Eun Min. Two ways to kill a King, either a dagger on the heart or

" Riddles. " I voiced out.

" Riddles. " she smiled with a soothing voice that actually made me want to look twice if it was her talking or not, but I somehow can't.

" I don't have time for your games-- "

Then the force that hit me was gone and so was Mai, her throne now cold and empty. I looked behind me and saw Kris passed out at the floor, something was hidden at his palm.

I slipped my finger at his palm and toke the small note, glancing at Kris' body for a while before looking back at the note.
