How pretentious of you

Shit.

Why the hell did I agree to go to dinner with Harry? On top of that, a double date? I don't know why I think I'm so brave when it's very obvious right now that I'm absolutely shitting myself. Mainly for the fact that I cheated on Luke with Harry. I don't know if Harry would just blurt that out to be a dick, but a part of me thinks that he would.

I must've gotten too carried away with my nail biting because the next thing I know, I'm wincing as I bite my skin. "Mom says biting your nails is bad for you." Brooklyn butts in from the backseat.

"Yeah, well getting in peoples business is also bad." I retort as I park my car on my level. We make it to my apartment and I am thankful when Cami is there. Although I would've liked it if she wasn't, then I'd have an excuse not to go to this dinner.

I mean it's not like anybody's forcing me, but my curious mind wants to know who Harry's so called 'date' is. I call Luke twice and just as I'm about to give up, he answers.

"Hey, Babe. Sorry I didn't answer, I kind of have a lot right now. What's up?"

"I just wanted to see if you would want to come have dinner with me and—" I trail off, if I say Ex-boyfriend I don't know how he'd react to be honest. Harry and I aren't exactly friends either. Damn it, just say something.

"Hello?"

"Sorry," I sigh. "I'm just a bit distracted."

"Oh. I thought the call had dropped. Well, as much as I would love to go out with you tonight, I don't know if I'll make it but I will definitely give you a call if anything changes."

"Okay, sounds fair." I nod. "Bye then." I drop my phone on my bed and fall face flat on it with a groan. So Luke can't come, if I go without him it'd be so awkward and Harry might think I didn't bring him on purpose. If I don't go, he'd probably think the same. That I was too scared that he might potentially say something to him about what happened at the wedding.

As if on cue, my phone begins to ring with a text message and sure enough, it's Harry.

H.
See you at Loliquest in a few. X

I sigh as I click on the link to the restaurant and of course, it's a place that just opened up by the Upper East Side of New York. When I read over the menu, I see no price besides it meaning it was more than likely very expensive.

Beau.
How pretentious of you.

I just think I have fair taste.

I roll my eyes and decide on a bath to allow time to pass.

I don't know how long I was in the bath for, but I was waking up in room temperature water and when I looked to my phone, I was running late. "Fuck, fuck, fuck!" I say as I quickly get up and rinse my body off with cold water.

I quickly put on some clean panties, a slip on black dress and did my makeup very lightly, only using mascara and lipgloss. I combed through my hair, spritz perfume, added heels and practically ran to the living room where Cami and Brooklyn were watching a movie.

"Hey, going out?" Cami says and I nod as I look around for my purse. I find it on the table.

"Yeah, I'll be back later." I say and quickly run down the hall as best as I could. I wasn't all that late, probably like ten minutes tops. I tried to make myself feel better that it might make me look like I was busy and had other better things to do than to sit at the same table with my ex boyfriend and his new date.
