"Dumbledore, always good to see you," greeted Newt from the front door to the Scamander house.

"As you, Newt," said Dumbledore with a smile as he was welcomed into their home.

"Professor Dumbledore," said Rolf when the two old men entered the living room where him, Juno, their mother and Tina were waiting.

Dumbledore greeted the two young Scamanders politely, then to Mrs Scamander and Tina to give his apologies for their husband and son. Then, he pulled out an old hat from his pocket and motioned to Juno.

The young girl did not sit on a stool like the first-years did, instead she stood in the centre of the room, surrounded by her family. They all wondered which house she would be in; Hufflepuff like them, or something new?

"Miss Scamander," said Dumbledore, "It is a pleasure of mine to welcome you to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry! Let's see which house you'll be in shall we?"

The headmaster placed the hat on Juno's head and not a moment later it called out "Hufflepuff!" to the small room. A loud cheer sounded from the Scamander family and Dumbledore clapped gently before he removed the hat.

Rolf was punching the air in excitement, "We'll finally get to play quidditch together like we always dreamed of!"

Juno hugged her brother, but Dumbledore had a special twinkle in his eye, "I suggest you inform your father, Miss Scamander," he said quietly, then farewelled the family and left.

"You'll do great in Hufflepuff, Bow," smiled Newt.
