The night went well for almost all who attended. Juno danced with her friends, taking turns with Anthony, Justin and Zacharias to drag them into the middle of the floor for some waltz or silly dance. The cousins even doing a family dance taught by their parents with Rolf joining in at the end. She even managed to drag Harry and a brooding Ron to dance.

Juno felt sorry for the Patil twins who'd gone with Ron and Harry, but they'd been asked to dance by Durmstrang students and eventually one of them and her partner disappeared from the hall.

Theo and Tracey had finally embraced their romantic feelings for one another and gone to the ball together, dancing and drinking the night away happily.

Somehow, by then end of the night, Juno ended up slow-dancing with Harry as they laughter together free of any tension. Sometimes when she laughed, Juno would rest her forehead against Harry's shoulder and giggle away. Each time she did, something would sparkle in Harry's eyes and he held her.

At the end of the night, Harry left Juno claiming he was 'tired', but the Hufflepuff stayed a little longer with her friends. When she did leave, Juno found poor Hermione crying on the stairs in the Entrance Hall.

Taking care of a friend, Juno took Hermione back to her Hufflepuff dormitory and let the Gryffindor rant away her feelings. When the other girls came back sometime later, they helped in comforting Hermione. Eventually, it all turned into a massive sleepover with the girls shoving their dressers out of the way so they could put the beds together and all lie together.

Juno ended up falling asleep with her arm draped over Hermione's stomach and her legs over Susan's.

Though it hadn't all been good, they ended the night with fun.
