Sho's POV
While his younger sister Reina is asleep, Sho is wide awake in bed, unable to get his mind off of the possible fact that Reina might be crushing on one of her acquaintances Takumi."Sho, what are you going to do?" I whispered to myself as I simply stared up at the dark ceiling. Reina's too young to have a boyfriend. With her grades constantly being low, I don't think it's the best thing for her to date a guy right now. She should be focusing on her studies, and not on some boy!
Quickly but quietly getting out of bed, I turned on my lamp and decided to devise a plan. A plan to make sure Takumi doesn't end up making a move on Reina. I eventually came up with allowing Takumi and Reina to meet up at Takumi's workplace First Sight Café in order for him to tutor her. Without their knowledge, I'll be watching them from afar. That's when I decided to call up someone Reina knows all too well to distract her.
"This is it! This is perfect!" I whispered, almost exclaiming my words out loud.
This'll be a perfect, flawless plan!
Reina's POV
A day later, Takumi and Reina are at First Sight Café, where Takumi is helping tutor her. Unbeknownst to the two, Sho is watching them from afar.
"I can't believe your brother actually allowed me to tutor you..." Takumi-san stated, taking the seat in front of me. "From the looks of it, he would probably end up punching me or something," Takumi-san gave me a weak smile as he took out a pen from his pencil case.
He isn't wearing his glasses today, causing me to be caught off guard. I never knew the way he looks without them, but seeing him like this kind of makes my heart flutter. Glimpsing down at my notebook, I hesitated to look back up at him. I definitely didn't want him seeing me intensely blushing at just the mere sight of him.
"Reina-san, is something wrong?" He asked of me. Gently, Takumi-san reached over and placed his hand over my shoulder, making me blush all the more. "Are you alright?"
Slowly, I glimpsed back up at him, but quickly avoided eye contact. "It's nothing... You just look so different without your glasses..."
I didn't expect him to pay attention to the last bit of what I had said, but he just so happened to. "Oh? Do I look weird?" Takumi-san quickly took his hand away from my shoulder and glanced down. "Uhh... My glasses broke when your brother pushed me out of the door last time. I won't get a new pair until a few weeks from now,"
"Oh, I'm so sorry about my brother! He's so annoying..."
"There's no need to apologize! I completely understand that he's just doing that because you're his younger sister. Brothers are often really protective of their sisters, huh?"
"I guess so, but he's always been like that..." My voice trailed off as I took out my textbook from my bag. "Besides, I don't think he'll ever change... Anyways, should we get started on today's English homework, Takumi-san?"
"Oh! Y-Yeah! But to be honest, I'm not really good at English." I could see Takumi-san suddenly break into a cold sweat. "I was hoping to help you with your other classes..."
"Oh, well... I do need some help with math,"
"That I can probably help with!" Takumi-san gave me a warm smile and then began to teach me.
Suddenly, I heard someone call out my name. "Reina-chan!" Turning to face the source, I was shocked to see who stood before me.
"Shogo-kun?" I stated as if asking a question. Shogo laughed and quickly took a chair from the table beside Takumi-san and me, sitting next to me. "Wh-What are you doing here?"
"Hmm..." Shogo stretched his arms out above his head, put his arms down and then quickly turned to face me. "You seem pretty surprised to see me, Reina-chan. It sure has been a while, hasn't it?" I said nothing, trying my best to ignore his presence.
After all, next to my brother, Shogo-kun is probably one of the most annoying people I have ever met.
We also just so happened to be childhood friends.
Until that one time everything changed.
"Eh? Who's this?" He turned, seeing Takumi-san staring at him. "Oh, where are my manners?" Shogo gave Takumi-san a smile. "I'm Tajima Shogo, one of Reina's childhood friends. Pleasure to meet you!"
"Uh, I'm Takumi, Ozaki Takumi." Takumi-san replied back.
Awkwardly, I just sat there, unable to think of what I should do given the current situation. Sho must be up to something. After all, Shogo and I haven't talked in a year and then he suddenly appears?
Something's up...
"Ozaki-kun," Shogo suddenly began, looking Takumi-san directly in the eyes. "Are you Reina-chan's boyfriend?"
What the hell? Shogo-kun, what's up with you?
"B-Boyfriend?" Takumi-san quickly glimpsed down and began to blush a bright red. "N-No! We're not dating!"
"Well then, do you like her?"
"Shogo-kun!" I yelled at him. "Stop it! You're making Takumi-san uncomfortable!"
Suddenly, Shogo-kun turned to face me, his face only a few centimeters away from my own. Just then, I felt something warm brush up against my lips. As I looked at Shogo-kun, I finally realized what had just happened.
Did he just kiss me?!
Glimpsing back over at Takumi-san, I saw him freeze a little, probably shocked at what had just occurred.
"Yes, that's right! Reina-chan and I are dating. Is there a problem?"
"N-No. I-I think I should umm- go..." Takumi-san rapidly grabbed his pencil case off of the table and left, leaving me and Shogo-kun at the table.
Wait, what in the world just happened?
