Sho's POV
Quickly and rather forcefully, I yanked Reina into the inside of our family's house, leaving Takumi outside the doorstep. "What the heck was that for, Onii-chan?" Reina yelled at me to let her go, but I just couldn't bring myself to. "I'm freakin' eighteen years old now! Stop treating me like a child!" I knew that she must still be mad at me. We actually haven't exactly talked to each other in days. Mostly, I think it's due to what had occurred two weeks prior when I had literally begged Shogo-kun to intervene with Reina and Takumi's tutoring session at First Sight Café. I just know Reina doesn't feel like talking to me at all. However, something inside me wanted to protect her. What if Takumi's not who he claims to be? What if he ends up hurting my younger sister? What if he ends up breaking her heart?
Rapidly, Reina climbed up the staircase and slammed the door to her room, loud enough for the whole household to hear. It certainly woke up my parents for sure. "Ugh!" Mom stated, awaking from her deep sleep and walking her way on over to where I was standing in the upstairs hallway. "What has gotten into that child lately?" Silently, I shrugged. Telling Mom that she should just head back to bed, I headed to my room and decided to call one of my group mates for advice.
"Hey, Ren-kun!" I stated into my phone. My JO1 group mate Kawashiri Ren groggily answered, appearing to have just recently woken up from sleeping.
"Mmm... Sho-kun, what's up? Don't you know what time it is?" Although I knew it was almost 12 A.M., I just had way too much on my mind to care about the time.
"Yeah, I'm well aware of what time it is, Ren..." Following a sigh, I told Ren what it was that was bothering me exactly. "Look, I've been having some trouble with my younger sister Reina. There's this guy she likes named Takumi, and I just have the fear that he might break her heart. For instance, there's the age difference between them. Not to mention, Takumi-kun is an adult and I certainly don't want Reina getting hurt if something were to occur,"
"Sho-kun..." Ren stated. He gave out a little chuckle then continued, "Don't you think you're being far too paranoid? After all, from what you've told me and the rest of the boys, Reina-chan is eighteen now. Just give her some space and if she gets her heart broken, at least she'll learn from it. I know that she might not be as smart as you are, but with time, I'm sure you guys will be able to mend your relationship with one another. Okay, so are you done talking? Manager-san is eying me right now. I better head back to bed. Oh, by the way, did you tell Reina about the mini-live being held at her school?"
"Wait... What mini-live?" I was awfully curious to what Ren must have meant. A mini-live? At Reina's school?
"Bro, are you serious? Manager-san has literally been calling and messaging you about it for the past couple of days! Although, you never did reply back..." Here, Ren yawned and said that it was getting late. "Sho, as much as I want to continue this conversation, I better head to bed now..."
"Oh, alright. Nice talking to you again, Ren! See 'ya at the mini-live... Take care, you and everyone else, okay?" With a sigh, I hung up and simply stared at Reina's closed bedroom door. Yes, I wanted to make up with her but I certainly did not want to force her into talking to me again. "Reina..." I whispered to myself, then released another long exhale.
I hope what I'm doing is alright...
Shogo's POV
"Yo, Taji-kun..." My friend and fellow group mate Nishi Hiroto stated, following a rather long silence. My group mates and I were on the way to talk to our talent agency, Bingo Entertainment's, CEO Ms. Higashi. Although rather worried that we wouldn't get the green light in terms of debuting, the boys and I tried our best to keep our hopes up. "Are you sure you're alright?" Nishi gave me a look of concern."Yeah, you've been pretty out of it lately..." stated another one of my group mates and friends Ikezaki Rihito. "Our dance instructor kept complaining that you couldn't follow along at dance practice today, which is completely different from your usual self... What's wrong?"
"It's nothing..." I gave both Nishi and Rihi a weak smile, hoping that they didn't see straight through my lie. I just didn't want anyone to get worried about me. After all, I'm definitely the type of person that doesn't want to be a burden. "I'm probably just tired..." As my voice trailed off, I could see my other group mate Sano Yudai giving me a mischievous smirk.
"Taji-kun, are you sure this doesn't have anything to do with that one girl? What was her name? Umm... Reina?" Yudai stated. With a swing of my elbow, Yudai shut right back up.
"Oh, so it's about Mrs. Tajima now, huh?" Nishi joked, wriggling his eyebrows back and forth in a somewhat suggestive manner. Rihi and Yudai chuckled in perfect unison as I simply rolled my eyes directly at all three of them.
"Owh, so it is!" Rihi exclaimed, eyes widening in utter delight. "Have you talked to her lately?"
"Umm... Nope!" I stated quickly in reply. "I'm pretty sure she's back to hating me again..."
"Oh, is it because you kissed her without her consent?" Yudai added, followed by more laughs from Rihi and Nishi. Before I could answer, however, the van turned directly into Bingo Entertainment's parking lot and my group mates and I were escorted to CEO Higashi's office. Nervous as could be, the five of us waited to be called in. Suddenly, the office door opened with a light creak and we were signaled to go inside.
"Ah, so you five are the oldest trainees here, is that right?" CEO Higashi began, not taking her eyes off of her current task of filing her bright crimson red nails. The five of us nodded in reply amidst the silence that was starting to tear at me. "Hmm well... One of our recent talent searches has brought us a new trainee to add to your group. He's in the practice room... I hope you all treat him like family!" With a smile, CEO Higashi called for our manager to escort us back to the practice room where we were to meet the new trainee.
As soon as our manager Mimi-san opened the door to the practice room, we were met by not only one trainee but two!
"Hi, everyone!" The first new trainee stated with an eye smile. "I'm Matsuda Jin! But my friends call me MJ!" The second trainee took off his face mask and I was shocked to see who it was.
