LORENZO POV

We made it to the car we strapped in the kids, I opened the door Malia and I got in afterwards.

"Are you ok?" Malia asked after a whole of silence. "I'm fine." I say staring at the road. "Your not fine because that my saying so tell me what's really wrong." Malia say grabbing my hand her hands were soft she always smell like that lavender body lotion and Body wash.

"I'm not fine but there's nothing I can do about and I'm used to Joseph telling me theses things so I deal with it." I admit I had to deal with him all my life to this point.

Malia nodded her head and looked out of the window into her thoughts.

"Mama?" I hear sage say. Malia turned her head looking at Sage and Maze. "Yes?" She ask with a small smile. "Since we don't have a dad and since you and Enzo are like almost together can he be our dad?" She asked as if it was no big deal our eyes went big and I could hear Malia say something under her breath.

We look at each other as if we were both deciding what to say I turned my head back on the road. And I could see Malia rolling her eyes.

I honestly don't know what to say bc I don't know one thing about being a parent let along to two kids my father wasn't there so what makes them think I would be any better. but if the kid twins want me to be their father then I will.

"Yeah." I say out of nowhere It just came out my mouth without me thinking. Malia head shot towards me with a shocked I know she thinks that I don't care for them but I know deeply I do.

And even thought i only known them for the pass couple weeks how hard could being a dad be.

"Yayy did you hear that Maze we have a dad." Sage says excitedly nudging. "Yeah we do." Maze says with a small smile.

I can tell something's on his mind.

We decided on going to the beach for the day I never been with other people only by myself to think its an escape from this thing that I call life.

Malia and Sage got out walking to the waves as i got Maze unbuckled, since I said I would be his dad and this is honestly not how i wanted to say it but it just came out and its kinda weird since we barely know each other but I've grown to like them they are a distraction.

"What on your mind Maze?" I asked as we walked to the waves. "I ...Just don't...want you to leave...and I don't want you...you to hurt my mama or Sage because I don't like when they're hurt." he says looking down. I would never hurt them it'll hurt me to see them hurt. and ill never admit it but I'm scared that Vadmin is going to get them and hurt them.

"I promise not to hurt you or sage or your mama." I say bending down.

He nodded his head with a big smile hugging me. "So do I call you dad?" He asked breaking apart. "Well that's up to you Maze." I say getting up.

And I don't care what he chose because I won't be hurt and I'll understand that.

"Ok, let's got see mama and Sage they're probably looking for us." He says pulling my arm.

We found them building a sand castle I see Malia with a big smile on her face as if there's nothing to worry about at the moment.
It is nice to see her smile.

Sage sees us and run up to us and hugs us. "Where were you guys?" Malia came up seconds after.

"We we're looking for you guys." I say "look we are building a sand castle want to come and see it." Sage says jumping up and down. I nodded my head and we all went to see the castle.

While the kids were playing me and Malia sat near the ocean. In our own thoughts.

"Why?" She asked. I knew what she was talking about she didn't look at me while saying this she just stared out into the ocean.

"They need someone as a father, and I won't let some else take that place and be with my girl. I say in all honesty. Me and Malia only known each other for a couple of weeks that she's been here, she almost been head for a month.

"Promise me?" She say turning her head towards me she looked a little sad but composed her self.

"Promise you what?" I asked looking at her in her eyes. I knew what she was asking. But I wanted to hear her say it.

She took a deep breath and cleared her throat.

"Promise me that what ever happens to me you take care of them and I know you don't want to hear this but I need you to promise me." She says with a few tears coming down her face.

She was broken in the inside but covered it up by her anger.

"Nothing is gonna happ-." I say but getting cut off. "Promise me you never know what could happen in this lifestyle." She says grabbing my hands. Just me thinking of her not in my life make my blood boil I'll kill anyone who dare touch them or the kids.

I let out a breath I didn't know o was holding and held her hands.

"I promise." I say this promise wasn't just for that it was to protect all of them and put them before my self.

"You before me." I say looking back out at the ocean. "Never." She says laying her head onto my shoulder.

I didn't argue because she's a very stubborn person and I would lose in a heartbeat.

The kids came whispering something but before we could react they threw buckets of water on us the kids giggled and me and Malia looked at us and we picked them up and we ran into the ocean holding them.

We played and we got out laughing and playing in the sand until it hit sunset. Me being the smart one I gather all us a fresh pair of clothes before leaving we all changed and put our clothes in a bag and went back to the house.

Today was a good day I haven't had that much fun since...well ever and I'm grateful that I got to spend time with them.
