When he shut his eyes and everything around him went dark, the hand that was sleep grabbed and pulled Nick into what he thought was a nightmare.

Trapped in this dream state, he glanced around his empty mind, finding nothing more than the darkness that sealed him off from wakefulness. He couldn't move. Or speak. All he could do was wait for his brain to conjure up images stuck in its "storage compartment" and show it in the form of a horrifying dream.

. . . but nothing bad came.

When the darkness was filled in with light, and Nick could see the empty space around him slowly pour in with fake pictures, he felt his dreaming self reach out to touch what was coming into view. A blue, humanoid canine with beautiful green eyes had stepped into Nick's head. It was wearing nothing besides its own seductiveness and graceful fur.

So it was one of those dreams.

Nick watched the fake figure bend and present itself to him. He hated not being able to touch it. It was right there, existing right before his eyes, and yet his hand was an inch off. The canine, now swirling its body like a pendulum, looked back over its shoulder and locked eyes with Nick. Nick's body was hot with yearning.

The expression on the canine's face was so mischievous, so devastatingly cute, like it knew that this was merely a dream, that Nick was denied touching privileges by his own mind.

The figure fell to its knees, jutting out its rear to ensure Nick got a perfect view of what it was packing. Suddenly Nick could feel himself moving forward. Was the dream finally letting him go?

"Suck on this," said the canine, and Nick dove forward with a passion so bright that he felt as if he were falling from a skyscraper . . .

Only to wake up in his bed with the sun busting through his window. He checked his covers. Then the entirety of his room, finding no canine figure dancing in front of him.

"Damn it."
