Jisung's head was pounding. He sat up, grabbing a random pill bottle that was beside his limp body in the process, and looked over his surroundings. He was lying in a random alley, homeless people and garbage cans littered this alley.

Jisung didn't remember anything from last night, he blacked out some time throughout his late night adventures. Pulling his phone out of his pocket, he swallowed one pill to rid of his head pains as he checked the time.

It was 9:06 a.m.

On his 19th birthday.

He smiled to himself, swallowing another pill as a birthday gift. Jisung rested his head against the garbage can behind him as he waited a few minutes for the drugs to kick him. They didn't make him feel like he was floating but they were enough to start the day. He'd take something stronger later.

Jisung stood up, legs wobbly and vision blurred. He didn't know what side of town he was on but he hoped he could make his way to his cousin's, donghyuck, home.

After a thirty minute walk, he found himself walking through his cousin's front door.

"Was starting to think you'd never come home!" donghyuck yelled from the kitchen as he heard the front door open. After jisung graduated high school, it was hard to keep track of him. He had lived with donghyuck's family since he was thirteen but nothing ever truly felt like home for him.

His parents were severe alcoholics, when things got rough between their marriage they'd take their anger out on the young boy. They only stayed together for jisung's benefit but his life would've turned out better if they had just separated.

Jisung had learned at an early age to keep everything as a secret from his parents. At the age of twelve, his father had caught him kissing one of his close friends. Male friends. Na jaemin was over for a sleepover when jisung's dad had caught the two kissing.

His dad attempted to 'beat the homo' out of him but that never really works, though it did prevent jisung from doing anything else with jaemin which led to the older male finding a new boyfriend, jeno.

Jisung was usually able to cover his bruises but there was too many this time. His aunt, donghyuck's mom, took matters into her own hands. His parents were then arrested and jisung was legally placed under the lee's care at thirteen. It only took them so long.

"Happy birthday, ji." donghyuck emerged from the kitchen to engulf the newly turned nineteen year old into a hug. "I got all of us backstage passes to a concert for your birthday!"

"Who's performing?" jisung questioned.

"Chenle!" donghyuck announced enthusiastically.

Jisung had a little obsession with the famous singer for about a year. He thought the chinese boy was really cute, his amazing vocals was just another benefit.

"Thanks, hyuck. Is the concert tonight?" jisung rubbed his temple. He needed more drugs.

"Yes, jaemin and jeno are picking us up at seven. Come eat breakfast, you look like you need it." donghyuck could visibly see that jisung was coming down from his high. The younger boy had never been sober for longer than three hours.

Donghyuck knew it was wrong to allow jisung's drug addiction to spiral out of control, but by the time he noticed it was too late. Donghyuck took drugs occasionally, not enough to be an addict, just for fun. Jisung couldn't survive without them, if he was going to get help he'd need to be sent to rehab.

Jisung was first introduced to drugs at fifteen. When he started high school, he was hanging out with the wrong crowd. He started using to simply look cool but he loved the feeling of being high. Being high prevented the chance of a single thought occurring. Once he started thinking, it was hard to stop. His aunt suggested therapy but jisung made it very clear that he'd much rather suffer. He didn't need anyone else feeling sorry for him.

After breakfast, jisung went straight for his room. It was simple, a bed, television, wardrobe and a desk. The only thing he enjoyed doing besides getting high was art. He needed a healthy way to cope, which is where his love for art came from. He opted for drawing the demons that stuck with him, these demons being his emotions. He despised feeling.

Jisung opened a random drawer to his desk and pulled out a bag of special pills. He swallowed two of them, without water, and flopped onto his bed, deciding to take a nap before the concert tonight.
