Another week passed.

Jieun and taemin were finalizing the last preparations so they could send their nephew off to rehab. Everyone hated seeing jisung so helpless in his little hospital bed.

He rarely did anything besides stare at the wall in front of him. He didn't eat, sleep or talk to anyone and that slowed down his recovery. He felt terrible. There wasn't enough words in the dictionary to describe the things his heart was going through. If he didn't die from drugs, he was surely going to die from a broken heart.

Jaemin had to force the boy to eat most days and jisung only complied to avoid anymore contact with them. He didn't know why they were even accompanying him in the hospital. Why wouldn't they just leave him to rot? He wanted nothing more but to disappear. According to the doctors, suicidal thoughts were apart of his recovery. Jisung wasn't suicidal but if he didn't have chenle in his life, he didn't want to live.

Chenle hadn't stopped by the hospital since his first visit and no one dared to mention his name. Jisung was pretty sure donghyuck had mentioned their interactions to the others so no one would bring him up. They wouldn't even bring up renjun and mark in his presence, It was really upsetting. He wanted to know how chenle was holding up but he brushed it to the side.

The doctor checked jisung's vitals and informed his family that he could stay in his hospital room until his room at the rehabilitation facility was prepared, which wouldn't take long. Donghyuck's parents were wealthy so they made sure jisung was sent to the best facility in the area. Jieun and taemin had postponed all of their travels for the next year to support jisung's transformation to sobriety.

Jeno, jaemin, donghyuck, jieun and taemin were currently occupying jisung's hospital room with him. They were discussing random topics to pass time.

"Have any of you spoken to chenle?" jisung spoke for the first time in a week. His voice was hoarse and scratchy.

The three adult-children exchanged looks before turning back to jisung. "Jisungie... chenle went back to china." jaemin broke the news to him.

Once he heard the news, jisung slumped in his bed and processed the information. No one spoke, trying to figure out how to move on from the subject.

Taemin had stepped out for a moment to take a call, but when he came back the tension was gone and replaced with a new strange feeling.

"Your room is ready." taemin announced. Everyone froze for a minute, jisung was finally getting help.

Donghyuck was the first to start gathering his things, jeno and jaemin followed suit. Taemin and Jieun helped jisung stand up, taemin then assisted jisung into changing out of his hospital gown.

Once all of their personal belongings were no longer in the room, jieun checked jisung out of the hospital while the others loaded their things into the car. Once everyone was ready, they began their trip to the rehabilitation facility.

————————-

They checked jisung in to the facility.

He changed into the required clothing for all patients and was now being forced to say goodbye to his family.

Jeno and jaemin squeezed the boy in a group hug. Jeno and jisung weren't known to show affection to anyone besides their lovers so it was an odd sight to see.

"Stay safe and healthy for me, jisungie." jaemin cooed and jeno nodded in agreement while jaemin squished the teenager's cheeks.

Next was jieun and taemin. They pulled him into another group hug. "We'll be visiting you regularly, love and support is the key to a good recovery!" His aunt jieun encouraged him.

Lastly was donghyuck. He hugged his loving cousin like it was the last time they were gonna see each other. "Love ya, ji. don't forget us." a tear escaped his eye.

"Don't cry, hyuck." jisung whispered and laughed at his cousin's sensitivity. "I'm gonna be okay."

They all settled down but jisung felt empty. Like something was missing.

As if on cue, donghyuck's phone buzzed. He pulled out his phone and showed jisung the message he had received.

Jisung was complete. This was what he needed. This was his motivation boost. Jisung was gonna get better.

'Hoping for an easy and safe recovery, tell jisung to stay healthy!' - Chenle 11:32 a.m.
