"Astros, did you celebrate halloween back in Icleand?" I asked as we sat side by side, drinking cider and watching the full moon through the castle's huge windows.

"Its not big there." She hummed. "We do something similar. Ash Sunday, we eat sweets all day. I remember my brother, Kristján, he really loved mondlukaka, an almond cake. He used to eat it and eat it...now he hates it. He sends it to me." She looked off into the distance. "I wonder how he's doing."

"Aw, Astros. How long has it been since you've seen him?"

She sighed. "Six months. I understand that he is trying to visit me right now, though. He should be here in a week!" She beamed. "I want you to meet him."

"I'd be honored, Astros."

She grinned and ruffled my hair.

"Darling," Vincent walked up to us from the hallway, dressed in well fitting slacks, a navy turtleneck with a gray peacoat over it. "Are you ready?"

"For what? I wasn't informed of any plans." He groaned. "Klaus, why didn't you tell him about our date?"

Klaus yawned as he sauntered up to Vincent. "Slipped my mind, I suppose."

He was in his usual leather pants with a dark red sweater and a black trenchcoat. "Get dressed," Vincent nodded his head towards my door. "We're going on a halloween date."

I grinned. "Really! I'll get dressed right away!"

I ran to my room and dressed warmly in a green sweater and jeans and a bomber jacket.

"Ready!" Vincent opened my door. "Great. Are you excited?"

"Very! Are you? And you, Klaus? Excited?"

"Yeah," Vincent beamed, his fangs on display. "We're going to eat treats and peruse the streets."

"Visit dungeons and stuff. Murder houses." Klaus chipped in. "Give great-grandad a visit."

"Who?"

"Count Dracula." Vincent clicked his teeth. "No, you know he's busy. We'll just visit other castles."

"Not if we break in."

"No, Klaus, there will be no breaking in. You're almost a king now, it's time to start acting like it." Dad walked by.

"Oh, fine." He crossed his arms. "But we are going to look at dungeons. It'll give me inspiration for our first real night together."

Vincent blushed. "What are you going to do? Strap us to metal tables and torture us?" He smirked and stuffed his hands in his pockets. "Of you're cool with it." He stalked closer and put his head ok my shoulder.

"I'll strap you down, facing Vincent." He whispered. "I'll shove a vibrator in you and listen to you beg for it. Then I'll stick this lovely little thing called a sound down your di--"

"Get your mind out the gutter. We all ready?" Klaus and I nodded.

"Great. Let's go."

We thanked the guards as we left the castle and walked the lit up streets.

It was freezing outside, but luckily Klaus always kept a spare pair of gloves on him and practically shoved them on me. Vincent walked off and came back with three steaming hand pies, two with blood clearly dripping out and one blood free.

I took a bite into it and was pleasantly surprised at the delicious taste of berries. "Are yours good?" I asked around the chunks I was chewing on.

"Delicious! Thank you." Vincent replied. "Ah, you've got blood on your chin." Klaus licked it off for him.

"T-thanks."

"Where should we go next?" I gobbled down my whole pie. "Good question. Maybe we could go to the square?"

That sounded exciting. Around this time of year, the square put on very dramatic re-enactments of Vlad Dracul in his prime.

"That sounds delightful." We walked side by side by side down the bridge and into the town square.

Immediately, a vampire in a stereotypical cape jumped at us. "Behold!" He cried. "How Dracul protected precious Wallachia from the Ottomans!"

He waved his arm with a flourish at another vampire behind him on a stage, this one holding a sword. "You will die for invading my land!"

There were the shrieks of bats and fake screams, red streams of paper flying up into the air.

"Dracul, the protector of our lovely home!" The bats dissipated into a vampire, who stood over the 'dead' body triumphantly. "And now we are protected by the great Tesla Dracul the second!" Banners of Dad flew down from lampposts.

"And--whats this?" He shouted, grabbing Klaus' hands. "We have our next in line! Klaus Dracul! Mighty prince, will you show us some skills?"

Klaus grinned. "I would be delighted." He grabbed the sword from earlier, seemingly real and waved it around.

"Do a sword dance for us, my Prince!"

He complied, and it was beautiful. He looked truly masterful and princely as he jumped and sprang, swinging the sword as he went.

"My other Prince is here, yes." The same guy grabbed Vincent's hands. "And the moon's gift!" He stroked my chin with his hand.

"Hey, hands off." Ks grinned as he dropped the sword on the stage. "This is also your future king."

"What a cute little king, indeed!"

We congratulated them on their show and made our way to the gift shop. There were giant paintings of Dracul on the wall and lots of fun, tourist centered items you could take home at ridiculous prices.

I ended up buying a few things, a little coffin shaped notepad and a cross shaped pen. Vincent grabbed a fake garlic wreath. Klaus didn't bother buying anything, but he did definitely admire all the lovely art of his great grandfather.

After that, we took our bags and headed down to The Bridge of Lies and crossed over it, watching all the old school cars and motorcycles stream by on the road.

"Its lovely. Thanks for taking me out tonight, boys."

The Princes looked down at me. "Its definitely our pleasure. I've never had so much fun in town. Have you?" Vincent glanced up at Klaus. He shook his head. "No. This is definitely a lot of fun for me, too. I never realized just how many fans great-grandfather has."

"The man has like 500 movies about him."

Klaus shook his head. "Not quite. They see Dracula, the character, not Dracul, the savior."

"Good point." Vincent hummed. "They really over-hyped the character. Great grandad is very humble."

"Will I meet him someday?"

"Absolutely. You're ours for eternity, after all. And great grandfather will be delighted to meet you."

"I hope you're right." I grinned, as I pulled the collar closer to my neck. "Im feeling tired. Wanna call it a night?"

"Sure. We should all cuddle together on my massive bed." Klaus yawned. "Of course, that's not the only massive thing I've got."

"Klaus!" Vincent cried. "Quit it!"

I laughed as they started bickering one more. I have never met a truer pair of siblings.

"Happy Halloween, boys. I can't wait to have halloween cuddles!"
