Alaric, Adaline, Dad and I sat in an uncomfortable circle of chairs with cups of tea.

"Adaline," dad rubbed the bridged of his nose with a sigh. "You have to understand. My sons chose Orion as their mate. The Moon Orion. Your girls aren't going to take his place." Her girls stood behind her chair, the bitchy one glaring me down in distaste, the other carefully observing the tasteful paintings on the wall.

"So? He's a boy. How is he supposed to give heirs?"

"Adoption." Alaric responded, sipping his tea sassily. She scoffed and crossed her arms.

"Well, I don't like it." She pursed her lips. "Not only male, but human?"

"He's agreed to a Blood Wedding. One problem eliminated." Dad shot back. "Also, Adaline dear, you are the youngest of us, you have no power here."

That made her more angry. "I'm still a valuable member of this family! My input should be relevant to this conversation! And my input is that this servant shouldn't be anywhere near the princes! What if he seduced them with his blood?"

I rolled my eyes and gulped my tea. "I'm going to get a refill. Be right back." I sat up from the floral armchair and made my way to the kitchen where Vincent and Klaus were hanging out, talking in low tones.

"Can you guys join me out here? It does involve you two." They both followed me out with my fresh cup of tea. Klaus instantly took a seat on my right Vincent on the left.

Adaline turned her head towards the mean girl and hurriedly whispered something, glancing back at Klaus. She started making her way over to us.

"Put down your cup." Klaus told me, helping me place it on the table, before grabbing me by the waist and plopping me on his lap, my legs over my old chair.

"Damn it!" Adaline roared. "How are we supposed to believe this cockroach of a being grabbed both of the princes? Who's to say be didn't cast a spell?"

Vincent took this moment to scoot to my chair and grabbed my legs, placing them in his lap.

"Adaline, are you serious? He's human." Dad argued. "This is a ridiculous conversation, and if I'm being honest, I want you to and your girls to leave."

She seemed taken aback. "Brother? You trust this human more than your own kin?"

"Yes. For years, he has kept my office and home clean, my boys reputable, and me happy. He's a great boy and I couldn't think of a better mate for my sons."

My heart swelled in pride. I was a hard worker, and I definitely deserved the praise. "Awe, dad."

"You let it call you 'dad'?" She shrieked, standing from her chair and pointing at me. "You are a bewitching harlot who has poisoned these good men with your lies."

"Shut up Adaline. It's not the 1800s anymore, no one talks like that."

She looked betrayed by her older brothers. "Give us a week." Her voice trembled as she rested her forehead in the palm of her hand.

I did feel bad for her. Her own blood was kicking her out for stating an opinion. But at the same time, seeing how nasty she has been towards me, I think I would do the same thing. As a future king, of course.

"Very well. Boys, release Orion, I wish to have a word with him in my office." Dad called. I swiftly pulled myself from the arms and followed him, shutting the door softly behind me.

"Listen, Orion. Between you and me, I think she's up to something. For protection, I'm going to send you and the boys on a nice vacation. I'm sure it'll soothe your nerves."

"Oh, that's so kind of you, dad! Did you have a place in mind?"

"Italy. I'll go ahead and get you the proper information and you can start packing tonight. You will leave tomorrow."

That's sudden but okay. "I'll go gather the boys and we'll pack. Thank you for this, dad." He grinned and gently patted my head. "Thank you for everything you've done. For me, the boys, and the castle. You are nothing if not deserving."

"Thank you, again." I excused myself ander back up with the boys who were bickering as usual. "You two." I snapped my fingers. "Start packing. We're going on a trip!"

"Oh? Haven't been on one of those in a while." Klaus sat up and pulled Vincent with him. "Well come on sweethearts. It's time for a honeymoon."

"We aren't married yet, Klaus." Vincent straightened his grey sweatshirt. Klaus groaned in annoyance. "I know, this is the pre-honeymoon."

"Let's just go pack? Dad said we leave tomorrow."

"Where exactly are we going, babe?" I had two different arms wrapped around my waist as I walked down the corridor. "Italy. Isn't that exciting? I always thought it would be fun to go."

"Eh, too much sun." Klaus wrinkled his nose. "But anything for my cute one."

"What about me? Am I not cute?" Vincent pouted.

"You're both cute. You just don't seem all that excited for Italy."

"Lots of cool things to do there, Vince. Like bike riding, drinking coffee, eating food, enjoying the beach! And--"

"Baby..." Klaus stopped me and pulled me into him. "We'll do everything your little heart desires, I promise. Make a list and we'll fulfill each and every item."

"Really?" I squeaked, pushing myself out of his chest and bouncing in excitement. "Everything?"

He nodded. "Right, Vincent? Everything."

Vincent seemed to agree. "We should all make a list of what we want to do."

"That's a great idea, Vince. We'll all come together on the trip over and discuss it."

They followed me to my room instead of going to their own rooms to pack.

"What're you going to pack? Do you know what the weather is going to be like?" Vincent pulled himself beside me, cross-legged. Klaus just bellyflopped on the other side.

"Well, considering the fact that it's not far from here, I think it'll be okay. I'll bring a nice jacket."

"Don't bother. We can snuggle up..." Klaus' fingers crawled up my thigh -- "By the fireplace, our only clothing a thin blanket..."

"Klaus..." I watched his hand move higher and higher. My heart started racing as I stared into his pretty eyes  and watched his tongue swiping his fangs. 9

"Hands off, Klaus!" Vincent yelled, pointing a finger at him menacingly. "Not until marriage!"

I groaned and laid back onto Klaus' lower back. "What if I want to before our wedding?"

"I-its tradition!" He stammered, his jaw slacked. "No sex until marriage!"

"You're such a party-pooper, Vincey." I rolled into a kneeling position and crawled to him on my hands and knees. "Forget tradition, Vincent. It's the twenty-first century."

"It's not party-pooping, darling. Is it so bad that I want to follow the tradition of my ancestors? It's my virginity, too." He scowled and crossed his arms.

I sighed and hugged him. "You're right, I'm sorry. But...on this trip, could we have a little fun? No penetration, I swear."

Vincent hummed and glanced back at Klaus. "Sounds good to me. How about you?"

Klaus sat up from the bed and dusted off his pants. "Amazing. I'm going to go pack for all that fun we're going to have." He left the room.

"What kind of things would he need to pack?" Vincent asked as I folded sweaters into my luggage.

"Go find out, Vincey. You might like it."
