I Dare You to Love Me

Well...just great

A few days later they let Jesse out. I took him to his house and stayed there with him for a few days. "Jesse. Are you alright?" I asked. He laid down on his couch.  "Yes. Im fine. Thanks for everything." I started blushing. "F-For what?" He smirked. "You are too clueless. But you're cute."

He got up and took a hold of my hand. "Love you." I swallowed and nodded. "Love you too Jess."  I picked up my phone and texted Michelle.

'Man this is really bugging me.'

She replied. 'What is?'

'I want to know whats bothering Jess but he's not telling me.'

'Just be patient. He'll tell u sooner or later.'

I turned my phone off and turned back to Jesse. He sat up and put his hands behind his head. I sat down next to him and rested my head on his chest. I closed my eyes and felt Jess put an arm around me pulling me closer. I felt the warmth of his body and I was comforted by it.

I woke up laying on the couch. I didn't even know I had fallen asleep. Rubbing my eyes, I sat up and looked around. Where's....Jess? I got off my lazy butt and stretched then walked to the kitchen.  On the table I noticed a pizza box. I went over to it and openned the lid snatching a piece of sausage pizza.

"Well. I see you're awake." I looked behind me and he stood there with out a shirt on, a towel draped over his neck, and water cascading down his hair hitting his chest. To be honest I almost got a nosebleed. "Um. Yeah." I said with pizza stuffed in my mouth. He chuckled and walked over grabbing a piece. He took a bite and sause got on the side of his lips. I smiled and wiped it off. He returned the smile and opened the fridge. I turned my back and grabbed another slice of pizza. I heard him shut the fridge door and footsteps coming in my direction.

I turned around and he shot whipped cream at me from right out of the can. I gasped which turned into a laugh. The whipped cream was right on my shirt. I took my finger and swiped some off and put it on his nose. He laughed and tossed me the whipped cream. "Don't get any on me other then my face. I just took a shower." I pouted. "Fine...but you owe me a new shirt." He shrugged. "M'kay." I put the whipped cream back in the fridge and went to get the cream off my shirt.

A little while later I got the cream off and went back downstairs. I walked into the kitchen but didn't see Jess. Thats weird. He was just here twenty minutes ago.  I walked out on the porch but I didn't see him out there either.

Walking back into the house, I headed for the living room. I saw him. He fell to his knees dropping his  phone. "J-jesse...are you okay?" No answer. "Jesse..." I bent down next to him. He looked at me. "Get in the car." "Why?" He grabbed the phone stuffed it in his pocket and grabbed his keys in one hand and took my wrist in the other.

He dragged me to the car and I sat in the passenger seat. He got in the drivers seat and put the keys in starting the car. "Jesse...where are we going? Why are you in such a rush?" I asked. "He needs me. Right now. He will need someones support." I didn't know what he was talking about but I just decided to be patient and find out. A few minutes later, we pulled into the parking lot of the hospital.  Jess quickly got out of the car and slammed the door shut. I followed him as he walked to the reception desk and asked something to the lady. She nodded and took us to the elevators. Jesse went in first followed by me. He forcefully pushed the button going to the 5th floor.

The door opened and he rushed down the hallway with me having to run after him. What is he doing? Why are we even here?  He stopped infront of a door labeled Room 5-67. He hesitated but grabbed the doorknob and turned it. He walked in and I peeked my head in.

"Good to see you again Jesse. How have you been? I haven't seen you in ages, tell me everything." Jesse nearly fell to the floor. I was standing in the doorway completely surprised.

Tears were forming in Jesse's eyes and he whimpered. "I thought you wouldn't c-come back... I missed you." He smiled. "Jess...I missed you too. Now come over here. You need a hug." Jess nodded and went over giving him a hug. Once they connected Jesse burst into tears. "I love you...brother."
