It's now Friday afternoon I had convinced Hunter that we shouldn't go into work since we left early on Wednesday and stayed off yesterday there was no point returning on a Friday. He reluctantly agreed but said I had to do some work from home. Which is what we were doing now, set up in his office, he was at his big desk and I was at the corner of it with my laptop. I wasn't as little as I had been the last two days and I think that's just how I'm going to be I hope he's okay with that. I'm writing up a customer report when my phone rings, I look at Hunter then my phone and notice it's my dad I don't hesitate to pick it up

"Hey!! Bella"

His comforting voice calls through the phone

"Hey dad, how are you"

It hits me that I haven't seen my dad in weeks and I hate the thought. I've spoken to my mum on the phone and had plenty of FaceTimes with Bria and the kids.

"Hello., bell can you hear me"

My dads voice snaps me out of my thoughts

"Yes sorry dad was just thinking"

"Well I was just thinking how about a late lunch date? I'll come pick you up now"

"I would absolutely love to dad, but I'm working from home at hunters"

"That's fine send me the address means I get a good drive in my new car"

We speak a little more and when we finish the call I send him Hunters address I begin to stand up when hunters stare makes me fall back down again

"Before you go you need to finish up that report"

I huff which causes Hunter to raise his eyebrow

"Can't I do it when I get back"

I argue he shakes his head

"No arabella you're supposed to be working im all for you going on your father daughter date but he's still 30 minutes away so finish your work"

I pout and begin typing with my frown still firm on my face I don't reply to Hunter because the quicker this is done the better. I see Hunter leaving his chair

"Why are you getting to stop"

I complain in a whining voice Hunter shakes his head

"I'm going to take this call with HR while clearing up the kitchen for your dad getting here"

I pout once more before turning my attention back to the laptop he smirks while shaking his head and walks out.

As I close the laptop I hear the doorbell I managed to get everything finished just in time. I rush to the front door to see Hunter already opening it I push past him and right into my dads arms. I didn't realise how much I missed him until I heard his voice earlier. It's only been a few weeks but it feels like months and months. I quickly gather myself as I realise Hunter hasn't properly met my dad.

"Dad, hunter, Hunter this is my dad"

A heartwarming smile takes over my dads face as he stretches his hand towards Hunter which he gracefully shakes.

"Nice to meet the man who's captured my daughters heart enough for her to stop pestering me"

My dad jokes I roll my eyes which causes Hunter to raise an eyebrow at me I smirk as he invites my dad in and puts the kettle on for him.

"Are you joining us for lunch?"

My dad asks Hunter while looking around in awe of the house.

"No sorry not today turns out your daughter is a terrible influence and I've missed nearly 3 days of work for her so a few hours to catch up is what I need."

My dad chuckles and nods a thanks as I hand him a cup of coffee

"Yes my little Bella can do that to you. A smile no one can say no to... well apart from that piece if sh-"

"DAD!"

I cut him off knowing he's going to have a rant about my ex

"I know I'm sorry bell he just still gets on my last nerve but I'm glad you've got Hunter now"

He smiles as Hunter wraps his arm around the back of the chair. My dad notices the big calendar on the wall which is busy with sticky notes and Hunters upcoming events. My dad points his head towards it

"I see you guys are pretty much booked out but mums arranging a get together for the family and she's asked me to let you guys know... it's the 20th."

Hunter is up quickly scanning the board

"Yeah the 20th is fine, I have a business meeting at 12 but can join after if that's ok with you all"

"Perfect you're mum will be so pleased."

My dad says we sit with Hunter for another 20 minutes before heading out in dads new car. My dad decides he wants to do McDonald's and a visit to the local park. He loves watching the birds and ducks so that's exactly what we do. For a while I forget the pressure of work, being little and having a extremely handsome and intense CEO of a boyfriend and just be my fathers daughter it is exactly what I needed to shift my mood. A few hours later I'm dropped off home with a quick wave to my dad I head inside with the promise of seeing him next Saturday for mums family get together.
