Troubles

Day 25

Today was different than usual. Somewhere around noon, computer informed me about the unexpected error. Few moments later, my ship began to loose speed to the point where interstellar travel was impossible. I couldn't check it through the diagnostics so I've had to put on the suit and make a spacewalk. Obviously, I took Jake with me. He might as well experience 0 gravity once in his life.

As I putted on the suit, I've quickly realised that I couldn't keep Jake in my cleavage or else he might suffocate. There was no other way around it, he had to stay in my helmet. Not like I'm complaining tho. I've figured that it would be fun to watch his little body struggle to comprehend what was going on or how to act.

With everything ready, we left the ship through the airlock and began the inspection. It didn't took long for me to get onto the back of the ship and locate the source of all this trouble. The interstellar drive was busted. One of the fuel cables got loose and everything got covered by a thick layer of ice. Expanding frozen liquid had also damaged computer parts which were supposed to run the diagnostics. In short, we were screwed.

While still on top of the ship, I've began to broadcast emergency signals to everyone nearby. Hopefully someone will get it and will pick us up. Not like I could do anything else about it. But then again, I've tried to make the most out of this situation. Laying down with my back against the ship, I've watched the stars flicker with golden lights from all directions. It was cool and honestly, I really enjoyed myself. But then, Jake decided to let go of my horn and began to float uncontrollably around the helmet. I've told him not to do it for his own safety. Try doing anything to help someone when the only thing you can use is your face! Then again, I can get creative while facing such problems.

Taking deep breaths, I've began to suck in Jake towards my mouth. Idiot kept reaching out for anything just to stop spinning around. Luckily for him, my teeth caught him before he could hurt himself in any way. His upper half was sticking outside while his both legs were being sucked on inside my mouth. I have to admit that I wanted to see what he would do if I sucked him all in... but I've decided to leave it for another time. He kept thrashing around just fine anyways so I've still had my laugh.

After playing with Jake for a little longer, we went back inside and I've made myself comfortable. After few hours of staying quiet and acting all grumpy, Jake finally asked about what happened to the ship. I've explained everything to him and how he had just became my emergency food in case they don't find us before we run out of  insta noodles and frozen seafood. He didn't got the joke and became out right terrified. Such a drama queen...

Day 26

I've been watching some more show's from earth. This time, I've found something called Jujutsu Kaisen. It's really funny show with lots of fighting and cool characters. Obviously, my favourite ones by far are Gojo and Sukuna. Gojo is the teacher and someone who isn't scared to break the rules to achieve his goals. He's thinking outside the box and is really well written. He's also really powerful and really likable. Hell, I even memorised some of his quotes already! As for Sukuna, he is just as smart and well written as Gojo I loved the scenes where he showed up and fought someone tho! And well... he also has 4 arms and really muscular body... its a shame that normal humans don't look as good as him. Also, yes. I've asked Jake if he could do stuff like that but unfortunately, he said that humans can't do anything like that. All I can do is dream about a guy like him...

Day 27

So far so good. We have food and water for another week, I haven't told that to Jake tho. I want to let him think that he can be eaten at any given moment just for giggles. Energy also isn't a problem for now so I can still listen to "Lost in paradise" while maintaining the ship and trying to fix the interstellar drive.

Day 28

Today was full of different emotions. In the morning, I gave up on trying to fix the damn drive on my own. I didn't had required parts to repair it and it was honestly frustrating me a lot.
Then, near noon, I've picked radio signal of the ship nearby. Someone finally came to pick us up! My joy had quickly disappeared after learning who was my saviour. The captain of the ship which answered my call for help was no other than Valerian Nyx. A noble born pirate/smuggler/slimy bastard who would sell his own mother for profit... which I'm pretty sure he did! Anyways, in exchange for saving my ass and bringing my ship to the nearest planet with decent mechanic, Valerian wanted 50k. Which was way more than anyone would take for such job but I didn't had much choice. I mean, I could kill him and destroy his ship. But then nobody would come to my rescue thinking that its a trap. Life isn't easy in space.

After giving him half of the money, our ships got connected together. Its a standard procedure whenever you're hauling someone with high speed. Unfortunately, this ment that Valerian could now personally pay me a visit. After hiding and locking everything of value, I've ordered Jake to make me some coffee. I wanted to have something that keeps me calm with me while talking to that bastard.

Once everything was in motion and our ships were flying as scheduled, I've heard knocking on the airlock which was now connected to the other ship. With gun in my hand, I've opened and invited the "guest" in. For those who don't know, Valerian is a representative of a specie called Borg. If I were to describe it, they are something between human and dragon. Not in a way that you probably imagine tho. Basically, their lower half is that of a lizard while their torso is that of a human but they still have some scales here and there. They have 4 legs, massive tails and are genuinely rather chunky. Their claws however, can be quite deadly. Oh and the colour of their scales and hair is usually blue.

Anyways, once the lizard made his way into my kitchen, he immediately noticed Jake and tried to question me about his origin. I've told him that Jake was a mutant and had no real value because he was blind. It looks like he didn't bought it because he kept asking me about him for the next few minutes. In the end, I simply allowed Jake to talk for himself. After more talking, Valerian was so fond of Jake that he wanted to buy him from me for a good price. Like hell I would seel my pocket barista! He didn't seemed to be offended all that much after I declined his offer but I will keep an eye on him just in case. You can never be to careful around people like him.
