Johnny

"Wait, you two are seriously banned from target???"

I stood there watching in shock and confusion, seeing the boy I left behind in the flesh, who was laughing along with Andi as if it's a typical Saturday. "I mean yeah, I wouldn't say we did anything bad... but it was really stupid." Anthony said casually while he stuffed a pile of honey drenched toast and overloaded soggy cereal, "But it was totally worth it." I couldn't really believe my eyes seeing him here, it almost felt like a fever dream. Actually I had dreams like this many times- how he'll be and how it will become.. Yet this is nothing I expected.

"What did you guys do??" She asked in confusion yet the glint in her eyes filled with curiosity. He smirked with pride, " We rode our scooter through the target, while we were tripping balls"

"You were both h i g h." She gawked, turning her attention toward me, "You smoked weed??? How did you two even get the scooter inside-"

"We technically didn't have a scooter in general. Target did." He answered in the matter of fact, my cheek was a rosey pink of embarrassment. Shrugging was the only response I could make, and she immediately facepalm. "No fucking way!"

Ding!

Hearing my phone vibrate nearby, quietly peering away from their conversation I notice the familiar name on my screen to which my heart skipped a beat. I wasn't sure if it was joy or purely anxiety.

Reedwd: Hope you got home alright, let's talk about

whatever you wanna talk about another time :)

10:20 am

Oh right... last night.

I ran my hand through my hair, heavily breathing to remember last night even was. I was going to tell him something.. About my dad- and me. Partially me, I was going to do it. Everything, and i-

"You know, Johnny never mentioned that you were visiting?" Andi interrupted my thoughts, bringing back more issues on my plate. Anthony... actually it's more than just an issue, it's a panic of the idea of why or what reason he's here. Looking at him.. he was fine, as if nothing at the hospital, as if what I did never happened. He stared at me with his big brown eyes-

"He.. um- I didn't know actually." I cleared my throat.

"I didn't." He admitted, but brushed it off completely, " I just happened to be here at a whim honestly," He grinned at her confusion, to which he explained, " Okay well, I wanted to like.. You know- element of surprise! You know? Like 'surprised! It's me!'"

"Wait so you and your family came by- or??"

"Nah, just me. My Abuela gave me permission obviously, hah I'm not that much of a rebel." He said jokingly, and to which she responded in amazement, "Wait really? Just like that- she said yes to you. Coming all the way here by yourself- I could barely go on the other side of the town by myself without getting in trouble for it! I mean.. What about school?"

"I got days off." He shrugged, grinning "I have my ways."

She grinned as if she could look up to this independence. To this kind of odd freedom that he has.. Oh does she not really know what goes on behind doors- I wasn't surprised at the sametime. It's Anthony Rodrigo, he's spontaneous and full of light with no such boredom in that bone. If he wants to do something, he can do it just like that..
