Mirror On The Wall - Aleksi

Plot: After months of searching, Aleksi finds a new home for him and Rylla: a lovely apartment near the park. The boy does not get suspicious when Mrs. Virtanen, the sweet old owner of the apartment asks him if it would be a problem for him to share the accommodation, and without thinking too much he shakes his head. In the past, Aleksi already shared his flat with someone else. Well, maybe he should have thought more about it...

Aleksi's Pov

We moved in the new house on a sunny midsummer's day, before starting the summer tour. When I stepped the door, I felt an immediate sensation of peace and positivity, I felt home for the first time since years. I felt the typical euphoria of the early beginnings, when everything seems wonderful and perfect.

The boys helped me with the move, despite we would have started our summer tour few days later. We carried boxes down and up the stairs, cut together the furniture, cleaned glasses and floors all day long. When evening came, I invited the boys to stay and eat pizza with me, sitting on the big carpet in the open space. We laughed and drank beer all the evening long, I never felt so good.

Before going to sleep I did a quick bath, for relaxing my tired muscles. Wrapped in the towel, I moved to the mirror for drying my hair, and there I saw something really unusual.

I found a red lipstick writing on the bathroom's mirror.

"Welcome dude!"

I thought it was Olli's or Joonas's joke so I didn't give it any importance. But maybe I should have done it...

Few evenings later, I was cooking while listening to some jazz music when i heard a weird rumor coming from the bathroom. I went there, and I saw that some bottles of shampoo that I had left on the edge of the tub, had fallen to the ground. After putting them together I noticed another message written on the mirror.

"Could you turn off the music? It gives me headache!"

A shiver ran down my back. I blinked my eyes, believing of dreaming, I even pinched my arm.

"You're not dreaming dude, I'm real. If you're quiet we can be friends too"

A new writing appeared on the mirror. I started shouting relentlessly, and I ended up taking Rylla into my arms and driving away to Joel's apartment. When I explained him the situation, he laughed and told me that Mrs. Virtanen cheated on me, but I wasn't sure about that. I felt a paranormal presence there. He gently offered me to stay at his house, while looking for a new place where to live, so I stayed with Joel a few weeks, but living with him was so hard, that I decided to come back home. I mean, that ghost couldn't have been more annoying than Joel.

*** Some weeks later ***

"I'm back home!" I say, while opening the door. Rylla comes to me wagging her tail and i caress her sweetly. Then I go in the bathroom, in order to wash myself and fix my hair. It's almost one week without sleep, I look like a Halloween monster. While I'm mirroring myself, a writing appears on the glass.

"Finally home! Are you ready for the scariest night of the year?"

"Mmm not so much! I'm so tired, I guess I will leave Joonas's party quite early tonight." I say, trying to make my messy hair look acceptable.

Me and the "ghost of the mirror" as I call him, ended up becoming friends. When I come back home, I talked with Mrs. Virtanen, who admitted cheating. She did it because she was sure that no one would have stayed in her flat after "meeting" him, so this was the reason why she omitted that unusual information. At first I was upset with her, and I looked for a new flat in the city, but the prices were too high, and the apartments I saw were not so well organized and new as the one I lived in, so i decided to stay. Little by little I understood that the ghost was peaceful and discreet, so I started talking with him and asking him advices like I would do with Niko or Tommi. He's a great listener too, and is more gentle than Joel, but this is not so difficult.
