In the Alex's dream, the sky as Alex starts dreaming about steaks falling all around him from the sky. He makes a snow angel in them before catching one in his paws and starts licking it.

Marty: Alex.

Alex wakes up and sees he's actually licking Marty's butt. He looks up to see everyone staring at him.

Marty: What are you doing?

Sam: Are you...dreaming again?

Alex: [licks his finger and counts Marty's stripes] 27, 28, 29, 30. Hmm. 30. 30 black and only 29 white. Looks like you're black with white stripes after all. Dilemma solved. Good night. (snores)

Alex turns on his side and pretends to be asleep as the others shrug it off and go back to sleep. Up in a tree, Julien, Maurice and the other lemurs watch.

King Julien: You see, Maurice, Mr. Alex was grooming his friend. He is clearly a tender, loving thing. How can you have the heebie-jeebies for Mr. Alex? Look at him. He's so cute and plushy.

Maurice: I don't think he was grooming him, Julien. Look more like he was tasting him to me.

King Julien: Suit yourself, no matter. I don't care. Soon we will put my excellent plan to action. All we have to do is wait until they are deep in their sleep... [a long pause] How long is this going to take?!

Alex, Marty, Melman, Gloria and Samantha wake up upon hearing Julien. The lemurs quickly hide as they look at the tree but then shrug it off and fall back asleep. In Antarctica, the penguins stand on the frozen plain as an icy wind blows around them.

Back on Madagascar, Julien is trying to wake Alex up.

King Julien: Wake up, Mr. Alex. Wake up, Mr. Alex. Rise and shining. Wakey-waking, Mr. Alex! Wake up! Alex!

Alex: (Muffled) Huh?

King Julien: You suck your thumb?
