Stranded In Island (Madagascar x OC)

As What A Wonderful World starts playing in the background.

Alex pushes through leafs, getting two stuck on his claws in the process. He shake them off but got his claws stuck on a tree trunk. He pulls them free, only to wind up tumbling over and over across different types of terrain, including cactuses. He gets one stuck on his back but as he tries to look at it, he falls off a cliff into a stream and over a waterfall.

He walks through Fossa territory as the fossa watch him pass. Marty, Gloria, Melman and Sam walk through the forest with their heads hung in shame as they saw a humming bird near a flower which eats it alive, much to their horror and Melman's sadness. Meanwhile, Alex makes spikes out of wood. Marty, Melman, Gloria and Sam come across a mouse which waves at them before a snake pounces on it but the mouse escapes only to be snatched up by a bird. They then come by a duck.

Marty picks it up in his mouth and they run over to a small pond. Marty puts the duck down and it starts to swim off only to be eaten by a crocodile, much to Sam, Marty, Gloria and Melman now seeing the reality of predators eating prey in the wild.

Meanwhile, Alex sits shamefully in his newly built enclosure surrounded by tall rocks and the spikes as walls. The heroes come by the waterhole and Marty realizes that this really is all his fault.

Marty: What have I done? This is a nightmare! And it's all my fault. Now, because of me, we've lost Alex.

Sam: Well, Alex hasn't eaten anything since we got here and his hunger took him over. And now, he's given in to his predator instincts.

Melman: Well, what are we going to do?

Gloria: We'll find a way to help him. That's what we'll do.

Melman: Oh! OK.

Gloria: Come on, we are New Yorkers, right?

Marty: Yeah.

Sam: The Hippo's right. There's the other way to help him and get back his normal self.

Gloria: We're tough. We're gritty.

Marty: Yeah!

Gloria: We're adaptable!

Sam & Marty: Yeah!

Gloria: And we are not going to lay down like a bunch of Melmans!

Melman: No, we're not.

Suddenly, the ship's horn sounds in the distance. Melman hears it and looks at Gloria, thinking she farted.

Melman: Oh. Gloria.

Gloria: That was not me, OK? That was the boat. (brightens up) The boat!

Marty: The boat?! The boat's come back for us!

Sam: We're saved! Yes! We'II be able to get out of here in no time!

Marty: Come on, guys! We've gotta flag it down!

They run to the beach and see the boat passing by in the distance.
