A/N: I never realized how young Ukai was until now. Like, holy shit he is 26. Anyway, some implied UkaTake. Another ship that I love.
"Boys, where is Coach Ukai? He should be here." -Yamiji
"Oh yeah, he is sorting out some issues with the principal about our arrangement. There was some confusion about something." -Daichi
"Alright. We'll send a manager to get him when he's finished." -Yamiji
Everyone headed to the gym and Yachi and Shirofuku were sent to collect Coach Ukai. However, Shirofuku had never seen Coach Ukai and did not expect someone so young.
"Let's go girls. Everything is sorted." -Ukai
They began walking down the hall as Shirofuku spotted a gleam of silver.
He has piercings too?! How young is he?! Most of the coaches are older!
"Excuse me, why are you coaching so young?" -Shirofuku
Ukai looked at her and laughed.
"You're used to old farts coaching huh!? Not used to seeing someone so young! It's fine! Technically, Specs brought me on cause he doesn't know crap about volleyball but wants to help the kids out. Also, don't tell anyone I called the coaches old farts."
Shirofuku laughed.
"I guess you're right. They are much too old for this, dealing with teens."
Yachi giggled with them.
"Speaking of which, how old are you Ukai-san? You never told us." -Yachi
Yachi reached for the door and opened it to the practice matches that were going on.
"Oh, I'm 26."
Both girls stopped.
"WHAT!?" -Shirofuku and Yachi
Ukai jumped. Everyone turned to them and the gym went quiet. All of them looking at Ukai.
"W-what?" -Ukai
"Y-you're so young." -Shirofuku
Ukai tensed.
"Geez! That is nothing to yell over!"
"That makes you younger than Takeda-sensei!"
"Wait," Daichi interjected, "How old are you?"
Ukai sighed.
"I'm 26."
Daichi's eyes went wide.
"Damn! You're young!" -Tanaka
Ukai sighed.
"Alright, end of convorsation. Back to practice."
Ukai clapped twice and headed over to Takeda and saw down. Takeda just laughed as Ukai slumped in the chair.
"I am so young. What the hell. All the coaches have much more experience."
Takeda set his hand on Ukai's shoulder.
"But you are the best looking here." -Takeda
Ukai looked at him.
"I'm not that vain!"
"But it is a plus."
Ukai and Takeda laughed.
"Yeah, I guess. Thanks, Specs."
"You are welcome."
