Thomas x reader Maze Runner II Scars You Left Behind

You and the others wake up and go your separate ways as you planned. You haven't been walking for very long until Minho spots lights and buildings in the distance, you go straight towards it. 

You are greeted by a woman with short blonde hair and white clothing. She then leads you inside to these rooms, "You will all be safe here, change your clothes and when you are ready, knock on the door. These guards will let you out so you can eat," she explains while Newt looks at them, there are an awful lot of guards for this small area.

"So that's it? This random lady takes us in and we have no idea where the hell we are?" You state.

"Don't worry, we are going to figure out what happened to us. How we got in the maze, wheat this place is, and she can maybe help us," Newt replies. 

"We don't know if we can trust them," Minho says.

"We don't know anything."

Each of you changes before they head out and the guards lead them to a big area where other kids are being held. You guys are told to sit and get given a tray of food each, while a boy on the opposite table watches you. Minho decides to get up and speak to someone here, he has way too many questions. You and Newt follow behind him as he approaches one of the guys with a suit on.

"Hey, you! Yeah, you. Care to explain where we are exactly?"

"Return to your table and finish tour food," he replies bluntly.

"I'm not really in the mood to go and eat while my friends are lost. Could you find them?"

He doesn't reply so he angrily walks back to his seat. The boy who is still looking at you so you go up to him, "Is something the matter?"

He looks down and doesn't answer you, "Do you want to come to sit with us?"

"Ok..."

He sits beside you and the boys smile at him, "So, what's your name?" Newt asks.

"I'm Aris."

"Im Newt, this is Minho and Y/N. I noticed you kept eyeing us, did you want to tell us something? Do you know where we are?"

"I don't know exactly but, I know that these people aren't who they say they are."

"What do you mean?"

"Every day, they take some of us and they do something. My friends got taken one by one and eventually, none of them came back. I decided to do some spying and I saw a bunch of bodies, almost like they were dead. I think they are experimenting on them-"

You interrupt him, "So they aren't trying to help us?"

"No, I think they are the ones responsible for the maze and everything else that's happened in the world."

"Holy shit, have you ever tried to lave?"

"I haven't been able to for weeks, but I could if I had some help."

It is curfew and Aris got put into the same room as you guys. You guys discuss a plan to escape, he shows you a key card, "I swiped these from one of the guards, one opens the exit and the other opens this door. All we need to do is make a run for it when they least expect it.  We should make it, that is if they don't catch up to us."

"That's pretty big if," you say.

Meanwhile, Thomas, Chuck, and Teresa have been heading in a completely different direction from you and the others you left with. Along with Gally, Winston, and Siggy, not any different. Nothing but endless walking and trying to drink only as much water as they need to survive.

Y/N, Aris, Newt, and Minho put on their shoes and they all stay quiet to make sure that no one is standing outside the door. "I think we're clear," Aris whispers, "Ok, follow my lead, I know my way around here," you follow him outside and down the hall. You can hear talking in the distance and you all hide as the lady who you first saw walks past you. 

Aris points to the exit and Minho high fives him and you give him thumbs up. There are no signs of any more people nearby so he walks further and you all stop in front of the door. Aris looks at the key cards but doesn't remember which one is which, "Shit!" 

"Hey! What are you kids doing?" A man shouts as he runs towards you. Aris tries the first card but it doesn't work, you yell at him to hurry. He swipes the next one as you guys push him out and make a run for it. You look behind you and there are now three of them, and they are armed. 

You are in some kind of tunnel and it leads to the way out, they start to run and make it out onto the sand again. They don't want to risk getting caught so they continue to run as far as they can without looking behind them. They eventually stop, "We made it! Aris, you did it!" Newt and Minho cheer.

"Y/N-," Newt says, "Y/N? Where is she?" They run back into the empty tunnel and the door is closed, Minho sighs, "She didn't make it."
