Reunion

We each take different directions and I run until I find myself in a room. I lock it behind me and turn around to see the room filled with lights and technology. I look down at the computer with my face and full name on it, that's weird how do they know my name is-

"Thomas?" I hear someone say in the room and I glance up at her.

"Y/N!" We run towards each other and embrace in a tight hug, "I-I thought you were dead!" She sobs and I wipe her eyes, looking at her. "I can't die just yet, I still gotta save you."

"I'm sorry for everything Tommy, I don't hate you."

"I'm sorry too, I guess I just acted like a bit of a jerk because I didn't want to lose you."

"I reckon you still need me huh? I would die for you, Thomas."

"I fucking love you Y/N," I pull her in for a passionate kiss. My heart feels whole now, and I feel like I have no worry in the world. Well, that was until Aris and Newt burst in the room and my radio buzzes, "We're back, did you find her?"

"Yeah, we got her."

"Ok, it's now or never, hurry!"

We run out and head for the exit when a man cuts us off with a gun in his hands. "You can't leave just yet, we still need to test on the girl." She hides behind me but I know there is no point in trying to get away unless we want to get shot at. "If we give her, would you let us go?"

"You got a deal, Thomas." I take the keycard from Aris and open the exit, "Guys get out of here."

"We aren't leaving without you!" Newt says.

I whisper to him, "Don't worry, just come back with the others to rescue us."

I secretly hand him the card and they run out. He leads us to his office I'm guessing when two women with white coats enter. "Y/N come with us."

She looks at me and I stand up, "Hold on, she's not going anywhere with you people!"

"They are just going to take her for a little while alright kid?"

"I'm going with her."

"Sit down," he tells me.

"Thomas it's fine," she follows them out.

I sit back down and glare at him, "Who are you?"

"Im the assistant director, Janson. Now I see that you don't seem to trust me. Our only goal here is to make sure that every child is cared for."

"By killing them?"

"We are trying to find a cure, and yes there are some risks involved but, we are willing to take them to try and put an end to the virus."

"Why Y/N? Why test on her and put her in danger?"

"Listen, I am not the bad guy here. After multiple experiments, we have reason to believe that she could end all of this! WICKED is good, you see, what you don't realise is that your girl... she is immune to the flare."

"So she can't get it, what does that have to do with you?"

"We have been searching for years to find someway to cure people. We have finally found it, found her!"

"Y/N is the cure?"

"Yes, and with her blood, she could save thousands."

"When will you let her go?"

"Well that's the thing, we cant."

"Do you just expect to leave her in that room for the rest of her life? That will kill her! She's not your lab rat."

"Well if killing one person means saving the population-"

"Oh god, you make me sick!" I head for the door and he follows me out,

"Your room is right there."

He locks the door behind me and I just lay on the bed.

I need to end this right now. I grab the radio, "Minho, Winston, get the card to open the rooms and try to walk in casually."

"Copy that."

The door opens and I walk out, I lead them towards the room, passing Janson,

"Make sure to get the boy something to eat," he orders them.

"Yes sir," they reply in sync.

"We got him so fooled!" Winston chuckles.

We find the room and I see her asleep through the window with machines surrounding her, but she is alone. Minho swipes the card before I rush in straight to her, she looks really pale and a whole lot of blood is being taken from her.

"We are getting you out of here Y/N."

I start removing all these cords from her body and shake her to wake her up.

"Thomas..."

"Yeah, I'm right here."

I place her arm around her shoulder and help her off, Winston helps me while Minho runs in front of us to unlock the exit.

At that point, Janson pulls me back and I push him off.

"We are on your side Thomas!"

"Get back!" I throw at him a punch and he strikes back, he pushes me against the wall when Minho yells,

"SHit! He gave me the wrong card!"

I move towards him and clutch the gun, pointing it at Janson,

"Hand it over!"

"I'm not going to do that."

"Card now!"

He puts his hands up before he reaches for the card and throws the card to Minho. The exit unlocks and we notice the others right on the other side. They run out when more guards arrive and aim their guns at me,

"Stay back! I-I'll shoot!"

I shout trying to sound brave but I'm afraid they might shoot at me, so I pull the trigger but it doesn't work. Shit, it is empty.

"Thomas! Run!" Brenda shouts before I hear Y/N groaning, "Something is wrong with her, she's not responding," Teresa exclaims.

Shit, she needs me but I don't dare to let my guard down. They move faster towards me, "It's alright, calm down kid."

"Shut up! Just shut the fuck up! I'm not going to let you take her again." I look back at them, "Close it."

"Not without you!"

"Trust me." I hear him press the button and I hear the exit begins to close.
