Third-person POV
"Chaeryeong?" Yeji called.

She's at the rooftop where she met Chaeryeong last night, just standing outside the boxes, the "small box fort" that Yeji named.

"Just come in, I'm here," Chaeryeong replied.

Yeji bent down and entered the place. She sat down at the corner and sighed. The space wasn't big inside, but it's enough for two people to have a comfortable distance between them.

They were in silence, Yeji wasn't talking nor moving, just sitting still with her head leaned back on the wall and eyes closed, resting herself after a whole day of working to earn as much money as she can in a day.

She was extremely tired. But still, she came to Chaeryeong's place since she said she would.

"Hey," Chaeryeong called softly, her fingers poking Yeji's hand.

"What." Yeji opened her eyes and looked at the girl in front of her in confusion. What's she up to again?

"Um, h-here..." Chaeryeong stuttered as she took two packets of chocolate bread to Yeji, and also a bottle of water.

"Why are you giving me this?" Yeji asked, still hesitating to accept the food in front of her.

"Um... I can't f-finish it, I b-bought too many..." Chaeryeong said. It's a lie, of course. She bought the food on purpose just for Yeji before she came up to the rooftop.

Yeji gave no responses, she's still doubting, but soon she took the two packets of bread and started eating, gobbling up the food like she's almost starving to death, chugging the water as if she hadn't been drinking for years.

"S-Slow down..." Chaeryeong stretched her hand out, wanting to pat on Yeji's lap but she took her hand back again.

Wiping her own mouth that has water all over with her sleeve as she finished eating everything, Yeji lifted her head and looked at Chaeryeong. The girl was fidgeting her fingers.

"You know-" Yeji spoke, she stopped when Chaeryeong flinched a little after hearing her voice. The girl lifted her head to see Yeji, fingers holding tight and her eyes seems to be afraid, avoiding eye contact with Yeji.

"You know you don't have to be scared of me. It's not like I will kill you any sooner." Yeji cleared her throat and continued what she was going to say earlier.

Chaeryeong's gaze shifts to Yeji, their eyes finally met. The girl frowned a little, looking at Yeji's pair of eyes, no emotion, no feelings. Just a blank and cold one. She gulped. Her cold and deep voice had never failed to send shivers down to Chaeryeong's spine. It's scary.

"Your voice... I'm scared of th-that..." she whispered, but clear enough to let Yeji hear her. The atmosphere was filled with silence once again, Yeji staring at the girl blankly.

She sighed deeply before she started talking again.

"How old are you?" Yeji asked. This time, her voice changed. It's quite a big difference from how her voice sounded earlier you could say. Instead of a deep tone, it's softer now, though it still sounded cold.

"T-Twenty one." Chaeryeong stuttered. She wasn't stuttering because of being afraid this time, but because she was surprised, Yeji's voice changed too suddenly.

"I'm twenty-two."

Soon, they got a bit more closer to each other after hours of talking. The atmosphere might be awkward sometimes, but they feel comfortable too. It wasn't a normal thing for Yeji to talk to someone she just met a day ago, or to say, she doesn't talk to anyone at all if it isn't necessary.
