Emma stood at the entrance of Red Velvet with Caleb, feeling pretty nostalgic even thought she had been there a pretty short while ago. The doors were closed which could either be a good or bad sign. Caleb walked up to it and knocked, then slowly pushed it open when he didn't get an answer. He stopped in place with a knife pressing up against his neck.
"State your business."
Recognizing the voice, Emma leaned to the side slightly to see the girl standing before the doorway.
"Damia?"
The girl looked surprised, her attention switching over to Emma.
"Emma?"
She looked between Caleb and Emma for a while, then hesitantly pulled her knife back.
"I'm glad to see you're okay, but what are you doing here? It's not the best time for a visit."
"We came here to see if you guys are alright, and to talk to Narcissa about important matters."
Damia looked back inside the building and then at the door again.
"You can come in, your friend stays at the door."
Caleb sighed and Emma put a hand on his shoulder.
"It's okay, you can stay guard for anything dangerous outside."
He nodded and stepped to the side, watching as Emma followed Damia inside and the door shut after them.
"The outside is absolute chaos... Narcissa stepped in and secured the nightclub as soon as she realized we were getting attacked, but we haven't been able to contact Rhiannon or get any news since then."
"Well..."
Emma felt a bit somber at the mention of the name.
"Rhiannon passed away a while ago."
Damia froze in her place, looking at her with huge eyes full of surprise and shock. It took several seconds for her to digest the news, then she held Emma's hand and took very fast steps towards the big double staircase in the middle.
"How?"
"It was... The Crusader caused it."
She didn't want to outright give Jean's name. She still didn't believe Jean had any fault in any of these, at least not voluntarily, and giving her name on such important news could be incriminating.
"We have to let Narcissa know immediately."
She pulled Emma up on the staircase, some other girls along the way staring at them curiously. Emma recognized some of the faces but most of them were people she hadn't seen before. Damia pulled her along the corridor before stopping in front of a door and knocked two times. There was a short pause before Narcissa opened the door, first looking at Damia and then at Emma, raising her brows.
"What an unexpected visit. Come in, please. You can go now Damia."
She stepped back and walked to her desk, Damia guiding Emma in before leaving to go next to the others. Emma closed the door after them and looked around awkwardly before going next to the desk and pulling a chair for herself.
"I know Jes has been trying to clean the city up, I'm curious as to how that has been going."
"It's going as well as it can, but there are too many of them outside."
Narcissa nodded, stacking some papers on her desk and putting them aside.
"I'm guessing you have another reason for your visit."
