Jo had left the restaurant and went straight to the hospital.

She had already called in earlier but they could definitely use some help somewhere. She got inside and dropped Luna off at daycare.

She went into the residents lounge and got dressed.

She walked up to the OB floor.

Carina : "Wilson, I thought you weren't coming in today?"

Jo : "I wasn't going to but, here I am."

Carina laughed.

Carina : "Perfect timing actually. The woman in room 1138 is in labor. You want to take her?"

Jo : "I'd love to."

She turned around and walked towards 1138.

She knocked on the door.

She went in.

Jo : "Hi, I'm Dr.Wilson, I'm going to be delivering your baby today!" she said, smiling.

The woman looked up.

Woman : "I'm Marissa! Dr.Deluca told me lots of good things about you." she smiled.

Jo laughed.

Jo : "I'm sure she did."

Jo walked over to the sink and washed her hands.

She put on some gloves and walked over to the bed.

Jo : "I'm just gonna check and see how dialated you are. Is that okay?"

Marissa : "Go for it."

Jo : "Alright, just let me know if you have any pain, alright?"

Marissa : "Will do."

Jo looked and felt around.

Jo : "It looks like you're 7 centimeters dialated. I'd say around 30 more minutes and you can start pushing. Do you have anyone you want to call to be here with you?"

Marissa shook her head.

Marissa : "The dad's not involved and my family and I aren't close."

Jo nodded.

Marissa : "You must think I'm so pathetic. Having a guy's baby who made it clear from the start that he didn't want kids. It's stupid really."

Jo didn't say anything.

Marissa : "Here I go, blabbing again like you'd understand what I'm talking about. I'm sorry. I talk a lot when I'm nervous."

Jo looked at her.

Jo : "Trust me, I get it." she smiled, sympathetically.

Marissa : "If you don't mind me asking.. how do you get it?"

Jo : "I was where you are once. Not too long ago actually."

Marissa : "But you're like super pretty. How could a guy not want kids with you?"

Jo laughed.

Jo : "He didn't know. He left before even I found out. He came back though. But I think I might've pushed him away."

Marissa sighed.

Marissa : "Men."

Jo laughed.

Jo : "I hear you, girl."

Jo took off the gloves and rewashed her hands.

She started walking to the door.

Jo : "I'll be back in 15 minutes. Hopefully we can start pushing then." she smiled and left.

15 minutes later, she went back into Marissa's room.

She rewashed her hands, put gloves and a gown on, and walked towards the bottom of the bed. She sat on a stool.

The birthing team started bringing all of the things the baby would need once it came.

Jo : "I'm gonna check your dialation. Let me know if it hurts."

Jo lifted up Marissa's gown and looked around.

Jo : "The baby is crowning! Get ready to push Marissa, okay? You've got this!"

Marissa : "Oh.. I don't know about this."

Jo looked up at her.

Jo : "Marissa. Look at me."

Marissa looked at Jo.

Jo : "You've got this."

Marissa smiled.

Jo : "Alright on three... 1, 2, 3! Push, push, push!"

Marissa cried out in pain.

But then, a man opened the door and ran up to the bed side.

Man : "Am I too late?" he said, panicky.

Jo smiled.

Jo : "You're just on time."

The man gave Marissa his hand.

Marissa : "James?"

She squeezed his hand, pushing again.

Marissa pushed a few more times before the final one.

Jo : "Okay, one more big push for me! You can do it!"

All of a sudden, the chaotic silence broke. The cry of a newborn filled the room.

Jo laughed.

Jo : "You did it! You guys have a beautiful baby girl."

Jo propped the baby up on Marissa's chest.

James rubbed the baby girls back while wrapping his arm around Marissa.

James : "You did it." he kissed her forehead.

Jo let the birthing team clean off the baby and take care of her after the birth.

Jo got up and disposed of the gloves and gown. She washed her hands and started walking out the door.

Before she left, she stood in the doorway, smiling at Marissa. She turned around and started heading out the door.

Marissa : "Wait!"

Jo turned around.

Marissa : "Go get him." she smiled at Jo.

Jo laughed and walked out the door.

Marissa was right. She should go get him.

Jo hurried down to the nursery and checked Luna out. She got in the car and drove home.

She ran inside.

Alex wasn't in the living room.

Quickly, she placed Luna in the jumper in her room, set up the baby monitors and ran to hers and Alex's room.
