"Captain Jiang, is there somewhere you have to go?" Jin Dacheng asked.

"Huh? No, why do you ask Captain Jin?"

"You've been checking your watch non-stop since we started the meeting. It's very disrespectful to Director Bai."

The people in the briefing room all turned their attention to Jiang Yue Lou.

"Captain Jin, I didn't know you had the habit of watching people. Be careful, others might think that you have a secret crush on me."

"!!" Jin Dacheng stood from his chair, "Jiang You Lou you-"

"Alright that's enough." Director Bai cut in. "You two stop arguing all the time, we are all comrades here. Back to the matter at hand."

No more nonsense were spoken after that.

Late that day Sun Yongren was surprised to see that their workaholic captain was no longer in his office.

"Song Rong, where did the boss go?"

"He went home already."

"Whaaat? No overtime? He left before us?"

"He must be worried."

"Wo-worried? He only has a cat at home, what does he need to be worried about?" Sun Yongren scratched his bald round head.

Song Rong poked Sun Yongren's temple. "You are so dense. Can't you see that he is worried about Dr. Chen. "

When Jian Yue Lou arrived in front of Chen Yu Zhi's house, the door was locked on the outside. He looked around and approached the nearest stall.

"Excuse me Laoban, did you see where the person living there?" He pointed at the house.

At the clinic, Chen Yu Zhi was writing prescriptions to his last patient.

"Dr.Chen , I'm here for a checkup." said the man in a hoarse tone.

Chen Yu Zhi tuned around and was taken aback to see who his patient was.

"Chief Jiang?"

"What are you not pleased to see me? "

"Ah.No it's not like that. I'm just surprised to see you here this early." Chen Yu Zhi put down the books in his hands.

"Please have a seat."
The two caught each others eyes.

"Ahem. Yesterday...uhm...thank you."

"Oh so you do remember. You were burning up last night I didn't sleep a wink. "

"I troubled Chief Jiang."

Cough!Cough!

Chen Yu Zhi's eyes widened.

"I caused you a lot of trouble , now you caught a cold. Wait here I will fetch you some medicine. " he stood up.

Jiang Yue Lou caught his arm.
"No need. This will go away after a good nights sleep."

"As a doctor I cannot let it be. A small cough can turn to flu. Jiang Yue Lou don't be stubborn." He walked away and came back with a tablet and glass of water.

"Here take it."

Jiang Yue Lou made a disapproving sound. " I told you, there's no need", then turned his had away.

"Jiang Yue Lou." The doctor's tone was firm, like a parent warning a child.

"If you don't take this willingly, I will use force."

A certain string in Jiang Yue Lou's memory was plucked by that sentence. It resonated down to his heart which created a fluttering sound.

"Do you have fever? Your face is red."

Jiang Yue Lou was startled, a hand was placed on his forehead which made his heart skip faster.

"Alright, alright I'll take it."

Chen Yu Zhi watched on the side with a wide smile across his face.

Those bright eyes and calming smile are intoxicating, moreover those lips...the Chief almost choked on his water after his mind wondered somewhere it shouldn't.

'Ahh..Jiang Yue Lou what are you thinking! You did not take advantage. He was unconscious and that was the only way to get him take the medicine.' He scolded himself.

"Does Chief Jiang have somewhere else to go after his check-up?"

"I actually came to check on you." Is what he wanted to say but what came out was...

"Uh-No. How about Dr.Chen do you still have patients to attend to?"

Silence. Chen Yu Zhi glanced at his watch.
"I'm actually about to close. "

The chief jerked up, with a wide smile on his face. "Then I will wait for you. Let's go together."

Chen Yu Zhi nodded in response.

Their simple walks and casual talks was enough to lighten up the chief's mood. He never had any close relationships like this, he had his subordinates but it was different. With Chen Yu Zhi it was not the same, the doctor made him feel safe, from himself.
