"Sh! They'll hear you ya know?"

A whisper of a man stopped her from letting out another scream, yet it alerted her quite badly, as her eyes recognized the dark space, through the clothes of her shoulders she could feel such warmth radiating...

"Who are you?" Neriko turned back and questioned the being with rather a calm voice but she's panicking.

"Oh calm down darling, you're in good hands, that is if you consider me to be so, once we've known..." The voice paused. The candle lights lit up the room, illuminating the two figures. One small, the other tall. "... one another quite well enough. What's your name, little miss?"

"Neriko. Nice to meet you." Despite being complete strangers, she still held up the manners that she learned mostly from some certain Liyue people.

"Just Neriko? Well, I'm Undertaker. A pleasure to meet you too." His funny voice that hinted a certain degree of warmth in them crept to her ears again, now that the shouting from outside of the shelter has ceased.

"So where are you from, Neriko?"

The question snapped her out of her thoughts, again. She was confused, unsure of how to answer the question, as she came from another land, and he might not believe it.

"I-" Her eyes averted to the side to stare at some coffins laid untouched in the corner of the shop.

"It's ok to speak the truth to me, because your scent was strange, not from anywhere on this earth... I am sure." His speech had caught her off guard. Her whole body jumped in surprise.

He chuckled. "Tell me your secret and I'll tell you mine. It's been forever since the last time I've met someone interesting..." The toothy grin on his face ceased to become a genuine smile. "... and somehow... you're the most interesting out of all the interesting that I encountered."

"I-" Unsure of what to say next, Neriko's speech reduced to a mumble. She took a seat which Undertaker had offered, then for a moment, her brain seems to stop working. The next moment, everything was out.

"I'm... I'm from a continent called Teyvat, which I suppose that didn't exist in this world-"

"Ah..." The man who sat opposite to her on a stool hummed in amusement and interest. "Please, do continue. Please explain it, I'm beyond interested."

"... There were seven regions on that continent... ruled by their seven rulers... where people lived together in harmony, yet a region called Inazuma was left untouched by the six others' people... Inazuma... is my hometown."

"Mmm." Undertaker hummed as he stared and got lost in her mesmerizing orbs as she rambled on and on about the land. Of course he heard, but such strange beauty, such sweet calming scent, and such captivating voice have never existed in the world where he had been living to begin with.

With his face propped up on his hands, he listened to her till the late of night.

"Young master, what seems to be the bother on your mind?"

A tall man who looked like a butler stood by the desk where presenting a smaller form, a boy, a noble boy.

"There was this case... about the mysterious disappearances of young females around the ages between 15 and 20. They were all described "as charming as field daisies". Such events have triggered Her Majesty's concerns. She wished that this case would end quickly and the truth to be revealed." He spoke in a monotonous voice as he took the teacup that his butler offered and took a sip from it.

"Hm. That sounds like ordinary kidnaps. But we shall not judge books by their covers. When do you wish to investigate this set of circumstances, young master?" The butler in black asked politely from the other side of the desk.

The noble young man lifted his eyes from the papers he was holding in his hands and answered, "The details described that the recent disappearance of a female, 15 years old, was not so far from his place. Before she went missing, her parents described having seen a man dressed in rather fancy clothing, yet he wore a mask, who came to speak with their daughter outside of the house while she was out for flower-picking." The blue-haired male spoke with his eyelids at rest, his lips gently laid on the rim of the teacup. He exhaled its delightful aroma and took a sip.

"Have the police found any corpses?" The man with raven locks spoke in wonderment.

"Yes. They have found the corpse of Corina Taylor (I'm sorry for anyone who's named this name, please think of it otherwise if you find it uncomfy-), aged 15." The boy's hands came tangled, and he laid his folded hands on his stomach, his back leaned against the back of the armchair. "It is thought that she seemed the youngest and the most plain-looked out of the 10."

"Hm. So the kidnapper only targets young females that are pleasant to the eyes." The butler spoke as he went to retrieve the teacup from his master for a refill. He suddenly turned to look back at the male in the armchair with a slight hint of a smirk, "You might want to look out, young master."

"Tch." The blue-haired noble man clicked his tongue in annoyance as he continued, "We will investigate this affair further by tomorrow." His dark blue uncovered eye then moved its gaze to the side of his work desk's surface, watching the silhouettes of the raindrops falling silently on the dark background of the room which was casted by the dark sky outside.

He sighed, catching the butler's attention. "Such sick deeds..."

Silence once again filled the room, only the clinking of the cups and saucer, and the muffled pitter-patters of the rain outside could be heard...
