An Untold Story (AU)

The Cubs

Uru's POV:

Both of my cubs had just been born. One cub had dark fur like mine and the other had bright orange fur,just like his father! "They're beautiful!" I smiled, looking down at my cubs. "Why,they certainly are!" Ahadi crouched down beside me to lick my cheek. I blushed a little. "Have you thought of names for our cubs yet?" I asked my mate Ahadi.
"Well let's see..." Ahadi thought for a moment. "The one with the light fur could be named Mufasa!" He smiled.
"That's a wonderful name!" I turned to look at my mate,"I've thought of a name for the other cub"
"Really? And what is it?" Ahadi nudged my chest softly. "What about Taka?"
I'd say, moving my tail about. "Then it is decided" He licked my cheek once more. The sun was beginning to disappear into a mist of darkness as the moon rose into the sky.
Its turning night already?
Tomorrow would be the ceremony of my cubs.

The next day

"Uru!"I heard a voice. My eyes slowly opened. "Hmm..?" I said still half asleep. And that's when it hit me. THE CEREMONY!! I instantly got up.
"No need to worry my dear. It's still early. We have a little bit of time to get ready" Ahadi Nudged my head.
"Alright then.." I sat back down.
I groomed my fur until I thought it was clean enough.

After the ceremony
When the ceremony had finally ended I went inside of the den to talk to Ahadi.
"Ahadi," I went on. "Yes my dear Uru?" Ahadi stood up. "Ahadi, who will become the next king when our cubs grow up?" I'd say with a worried face. "Oh..I actually haven't thought of that!"  Ahadi said with a surprised face. I just looked at him. "Well since Mufasa was born first I'm sure he should be king" He sat down.
"But when will we tell them?" I asked a bit worried.
"Perhaps when they're older" Ahadi said. "Alright..guess we'll have to hope for the best" I looked down at my paws.
My mate nodded in agreement.

A few months later
Taka's POV

"Get back here!" I laughed.
"Never!" My brother Mufasa ran from me. We were playing tag."Bet you won't catch me!" He yelled. "Bet I will!" My tufts of hair blew in the wind as I spoke. "W-woah!!!!!!" Mufasa would scream. I tripped on a log because I looked away to see what was wrong. "Ouch! My paw!" He yelled.
Turns out my brother had just slipped on some puddle. "Calm down you're fine!" I'd scoff. My brother would get up. Suddenly, I spotted three lion cubs talking. "Look it's your special someone.." I teased, pointing my head at a lion in the group. "Wh- OH!" Mufasa saw who I was pointing to. "Sarabi.." He'd whisper. "Go and talk to her ya dummy!" I nudged his back.
"Fine!" He trotted over to the lions.
"Look! It's Mufasa.." One of the lioness cubs whispered. "Hey.." Mufasa said nervously. "Hi!" A male cub shouted. He was a friend of the others. "My name's Luka!" He said happily. "I'm Sarafina" The other told. "Hi! And you are sarabi, right?" Mufasa asked the dark tannish cub. "What is it that you want?" Sarabi scoffed. "I just wanted t-to say hi.." Mufasa shuffled his paws. "Go away. I don't want YOU near me" Sarabi turned her head to her back. "Sarabi! Be nice to him! He just wants to be friends!" Sarafina put her paw on Her friends. "You're just jealous" Luka giggled. "Am NOT!" She said angrily. "Are too!" Luka said back. They went on. "Ugh..I'll just go" Mufasa trotted off. "Oh well" I went to join the group. "AM N-" Sarabi saw me. "Oh hi Taka!" She smiled. "Didn't see you there!"
"Hello Sarabi!" I smiled back. Luka elbowed her. "Looks like someone's got a crush.." He teased. "Luka stop that!" Sarabi looked at him.

"Wanna go on a walk?" I asked. "It won't be that long"
"Sure!" Sarabi walked over to me. "Bet I'll beat you to that rock!" I laughed pointing at a small boulder. Sarabi started laughing with me. We both ran together until we felt out of air. After that Sarabi and I started talking. The sun slowly started to go down. Then we just started talking for a bit until we got to pride rock. "See you later Sarabi!" I grinned. "You too! Hey, maybe we can do this again soon?" She smiled. "Maybe!" I'd yell.
