JUNGKOOK

I got discharged after five miserable days. And I say miserable because, despite of being hardly a floor away, I didn't get to see Y/n even once. I was literally banned from meeting her. Jin told me that Y/n's mom was being really careful, making sure there was someone outside Y/n's room every second of the day.

I got the feeling that that might be Felix's idea rather than her mom. I half suggested that I could sneak out at night, but with the heavy sedatives they were giving me for pain, I was unconscious most of the time. I had stitches dis figuring a small part of my temple, and a slightly injured jaw.

The doctor told me that I was very lucky I wasn't hit near my lower neck, or else I would've died right there. Little did he know about how I was trained to never let that happen? Not to me, that is. While killing someone else...well, that's a story for some other time.

"So who's guarding the Queen right now?"

Jin snickered at my question, helping me finish up my paperwork for the hospital bill I was supposed to submit before getting out of here.

"Her dad is on evening duty. Her mom will come back in an hour, I suppose. She still thinks you're going to sneak into Y/n's room then."

"You should tell her that I'm busy being knocked unconscious," I laughed bitterly, putting on my shoes. Out of all the people who I thought would go against me, her mother wasn't in the list. I had to do all that I possibly could to win her trust back. After another important task, of course.

"l want to see her," I repeated the same sentence, in the same tone, for what Ian could say was the thousandth time. Jin didn't even look up from the paper he was filling.

"Are you listening?"

"No, I'm not."

"Yes you are," I argued back, tying my lace up. I got up from the bed with a slight bounce in my step. I was feeling better now, physically.

"I'm gonna go meet Mia."

"Her dad is not–

"l think he will," I mused. I walked over to Jin and signed the papers, writing down the required check.

"Will you submit these?"

"Okay," Jin sighed. He looked at me with a raised feeling.

"Why do I get feeling that you have somewhere to be?"

"Yeah, I'm going over to break into my Queen's chamber."

"Apart from that," Jin narrowed his eyes.

"l definitely think that you're going to go somewhere without me."

"l hate to break this to you, Jin hyung, but I never took you out on dates before this too." Jin made a face at me while I chuckled.

"So you can't tell me where you're going?"

Why did I have to have such a smart best friend like brother? It's so hard to lie to him.

"Not really. I hope you understand."

"Wouldn't be your best friend like brother if I didn't," Jin got up, stretching wide. I felt a pang of guilt. He had been spending nights at the hospital for me, attending to every need of mine. I honestly did not deserve him.

"Go get some rest, Jin hyung. And thank you for being there always."

He rolled his eyes at me, giving me a finger. His usual response when I say thanks."I'll go over to Felix's house for a while."
