Jungkook
By half past one, I was downing my seventh drink. Taehyung and Jimin sat beside me, still on their first glasses of alcohol. I never drank so much, it was mostly cigarettes that I turned to. But because someone asked me throw all of my cigarettes, I had currently ran out of them.
"You shouldn't have treated her like that." I continued to drink, ignoring Taehyung. I heard him sigh before getting up from his seat.
"Where are you going?" I slurred at him.
"To check up in Y/n," Taehyung answered. "It's been hours since she made any noise."
"Who the fuck do you think you are to go check up on my wife while I'm here?" I slammed my glass on the table angrily.
"For fucks sake will you stop being such a hypocrite?" Jimin snapped at me, slamming his own hands on the table as he got up from his seat.
"I'm sorry for putting the idea that she might be working for Junghyun in your head, I really am. I can see that I was totally wrong about her."
"Great." Jimin huffed angrily before grabbing the back of my collar and pulling me over the counter, on the other side. I landed on my knees, cursing in pain.
"You're lucky enough to find a woman who can stand you and your bi-polar ass," Jimin let go of my neck, after I slapped it repeatedly. "Go apologize to her. Can't you see that she's been through enough already?"
"And I haven't?" I spat at him, my arms and legs feeling heavy with alcohol. "Seriously, tell me if I haven't had enough of Junghyun already?! He has controlled me my entire life! I wouldn't even dare to breathe in my past without his permission. And now, after all that I did to get away from him, this is what happens? You say Y/n has suffered because she can express it. Me? I can't even express my emotions! I'm fucking dead inside and everyone is just hell bent on killing me even more!"
"Everyone except Y/n," Taehyung sat down next to me, his hand on my shoulder. I looked sideways at him. "She doesn't even know anything but she's ready to save you, even if she gets hurt in the process."
"Yeah," I laughed dryly. "At this rate, I won't even be surprised to find her dead in my arms one day."
It was a horrible thought, but it was true. I was completely drained. Everything inside me felt like lead. It felt like knives. It felt like ropes strangling me. Everything inside me just felt dead and I was still breathing.
"Jungkook, do you know how to swim?" Jimin's out of the blue question confused me. I blinked before looking at him. "What?"
"I asked, do you know how to swim?" he repeated his question.
"Of course I do," I told him. "You know I do."
"So if you see someone drowning, would you jump in to help them?" Jimin asked.
"Yes, of course."
Jimin outstretched his arm for me. I caught hold of it, getting to my feet although I was still very confused. Jimin smiled nervously at my expression.
"That's exactly what Y/n's trying to do," he said, making me look up at him in disbelief. "You're drowning, Jungkook. You need her help. You need that girl in your life."
