Daydream
In the dark pits of my world,
there are
Two internal beasts.
One which tells you
to follow your heart
Another tells you
to listen only to your brain.
The two beasts fight
day and night,
To control which,
the part you want at times.
They linger
and they speak
with words
Purely for the deceased.
They torment,
they give desires only To those who crave power.
Many view
them as love
and lust.
Some view
them as logic
and fantasy.
Two different perspectives
Constantly at war.
Tho few reloaded it is so much more.
The fact is
no two worlds
can live without the other.
One during the day
and one at night.
One innovation has sprung,
From another
Where focus and consistency
Is key.
One brought by thought
And desire
Another brought by
Life and choices left
In life.
But they are a union
Of conflict.
Without a dream,
reality
Is just as good as dead.
For without
a dream
Reality can never
Truly begin.
