Ling Lan and Li Lanfeng found their way to the apartment build and took a silent ride up the elevator. Upon entering the apartment she didn't speak but led him deeper into the place. Ling Lan walked into the bedroom, her sights set on the person who entered the door after her.

The first things first, she had to do east she probably should have done long ago. The though had her slightly breathless and unnerved. To let him know who she was to him wasn't exactly as easy as it seemed.

But continuing on like this burned her more. If not now, then when? Their relationship was dancing at the tip of a knife for the last few utterly unbearable days.

She could never allow such a thing to happen again. She didn't want to be at odds with him any longer and neither did he.

Watch him continue to wallow in frustration may have also had a bit of influence on her current actions.

She saw the tension in his body. She inhaled deeply, reinforcing her nerves with steel. She sat on the bed and sighed.

"Leopard... why are you more troublesome than all my little brothers and sisters combined?"

"...Ling..." it felt almost impossible to finish.

"Ling... Lan?" he called out with a shaky breath.

"Yes, Lanfeng."

Li Lanfeng stood there in a stupor. Ling Lan breathed in before letting loose her breath.

Li Lanfeng watched as she (it should be she, right?) walked up to him, "Lanfeng, did you turn dumb during this time?" she said, leaving him speechless.

"Yes! I've been saying that for the last half an hour!"

Really, she knew it was a shocker but why did he have to say it so many times. What happened to her abnormally adaptive Leopard?

"Woman, a woman this whole time..."

Li Lanfeng leaned his back on the door and slid down to the floor. His knees gave out under the weight his body could no longer handle.

"Lanfeng?" Ling Lan knelt down to his level almost immediately. How did his body end up giving out?

Ling Lan reached out her hand to his face, looking to check his wellbeing.

Li Lanfeng caught the hand reaching for his face and looked at the familiar yet unfamiliar features in-front of him. His eyes narrowed as a familiar struggle was rekindled in his heart. How? Why? Was his king still a man? Was it still Ling Lan?

Ling Lan paused absentmindedly before she could touch him.

"Right, this is still pretty new for you." Ling Lan slowly withdrew her wrist. She didn't even realize, she couldn't touch her Leopard as she liked right now.

"Ling...Lan. This.. it couldn't come any earlier?" How was she keeping such a secret to herself for so long. What was his whole struggle for?
