My bedroom window

I was sleeping. I was awakened by a tapping at my window. It was a mixture between tapping and scratching. I had just woken up so I was still half asleep, I didn't think much of it. My window was covered with a blanket to keep the light out of my room during the day so I couldn't see what it was. Maybe it was a group of kids with nothing better to do? I reached over to grab my phone and check the time. It was 2:34am. No way little kids would be out this late trying to mess with someone! It had to be something else.
The noises started to get annoying. I sat up in my bed, swung my feet off the side to put on slippers and got up. I walked over to the window and yanked off the blanket. There stood a man. I couldn't see his face because he had on a mask. There were two big white circles for eyes and a big white smile. The mask was black. I was petrified. I couldn't move. I heard him outside my window saying something but I couldn't make out what he was trying to say.
I ran out of my room and bursted open the door of my parents room. I started screaming and frantically explaining how there was a man outside my window. My father jerked out of bed and started to march to my room. He bursted open my door and saw the mask at the window. He walked over to the window, opened it and the man ran off. My dad then turned around and looked me dead in the eyes. I had never seen him with such a worried face.
"What's wrong father? He did leave right?" I asked.
"Yes honey he's gone..." He continued, "but whoever he was...he wanted you."
"What do you mean father?" I questioned
"The man..when I opened the window, he was screaming your name and when he ran off he was still screaming it," he explained.
Who could that be?! I don't know anyone crazy enough to do that. I wasn't able to sleep for the rest of the night. The next morning I saw that same man on the news. He was being arrested for murder.
