Antonio's POV
I drop off Alexis at Trey's school and he was waiting for her once he saw us pull up and stop he went to the back and unbuckled Alexis and got her out while Diesel jumped out. I handed Trey her bag and they were off to meet the basketball team in Trey's first class. I drove to the district and went up to my desk and started on paperwork.
Alexis's POV
It was after lunch time and I was with Trey and the basketball team when they came over the speaker and said that we are going into a lockdown. The person broke through a window and yelled my full name and I knew it was Erin (my mother). I came up with a idea I whispered it to Trey and he told the teacher. My idea was to tape a note on to Diesel harness and give him the command to go to the district and get Antonio. The teacher gave me a piece of paper and a pen I wrote the note. Then the teacher gave me a couple pieces of tape and I taped it on Diesel's collar. Then I nod over to the teacher and he open the window and I gave the command to go get Antonio. He jumped out of the window and booked it over to the district. It was only a five minute walk from here.
Antonio's POV
I was just about to walk back upstairs from asking Trudy a question when Diesel comes running in. He came up to me and started barking. I open up the gate and ran up the steps with him and Hank was out of his off because he heard Diesel's barking he pointed out that this was a note taped on his harness. I took off the note and it said.
To Antonio
Daddy's old dad and Erin are at the school with guns they want me. So I sent Diesel to come and get you. So please don't be mad that he is not with me. It was my decision.

Then the call came into about shots fired at Whitney Young Magnet Middle School. The unit and Diesel all jump up and ran downstairs to get geared up. I put Diesel in a bulletproof vest.

Once we got the Middle school we heard more gun shots. The firehouse were all ready in the school and getting people out.
Alexis's POV
Once I sent Diesel to go get Antonio about 5 minutes later I got a text through my apple watch form Antonio saying that they were at the school and trying to get inside. He also said that the firehouse was in the school getting kids out. The next thing I know was the door getting kicked down a gunshot going off and through my leg. Half of the class tackle the shooters and the basketball team attend to my leg. Pat got out of the hold of one of the classmate and he helped and Erin escape. Matt and the other firefighter came in and help us out of the school. Together the basketball team put a tourniquet kit on my leg before the Matt and the other got in the room. They said that the shooters were assert as soon as the step foot outside of the school. The basketball team pick me up and the rest of the students followed the firefighters out and then Trey took me to the waiting ambulance. Once I got the ambulance I spot Antonio ask Trey to yell Antonio name. When he did Antonio look at us and start to run. While Uncle Adam and Aunt Gracelyn was hot on Antonio tail. Antonio hopped in the ambulance and Trey hopped out and Uncle Adam asked if he was hurt because he had blood on his shirt. Trey said no it is Alexis's blood because she was shot in the leg.
