XXX not me starting this chapter a day before publishing the previous one, i don't think I have much to say, so, enjoyyy!! (Two whole years later) -> Okay hi, I know i haven't updated in the longest time, but I figured that now would work too. I did have to read the entire story to make sure I stayed consistent, and let me tell you, i don't know how you guys actually read those chapters. I was a freshman in high school when I first started this story and I just started college, I never imagined that this story would follow me to college but here we are. Well, it's a little longer than usual because I felt the need to make up for lost time so you're welcome. Whoever said you can't go back to your Soy Luna phase in 2024 was wrong, because we're so back. XXX

It was NOT avoidance.

Luna was not avoiding the Jam and Roller, she wasn't.

(Between you and me, she was)

It's just that there was nothing that expected her there, she wasn't needed, it was completely unnecessary for her to be there and take up space if she wasn't going to skate.

And it was extremely obvious that she couldn't go anywhere near that rink. Not without crying a bit at least. She had been quieter and less energetic, it was like the accident had sucked all the life out of her, and it basically did, she depended on her feet for everything, not only for walking but for skating, and it just became a part of who she was. The accident had chipped small pieces of her bit by bit.

This behavior did not go unnoticed by the guy who reserved his heart eyes for her and her only.

He hated seeing her like this. A world in which Luna Valente wasn't smiling and laughing was the worst one, and one he had hoped he would never get to see.

But he did.

On the way home from practice, her smile never reached her eyes, and she didn't sing the way she usually did. She was quieter and didn't move as much as one expected from Luna Valente.

He hated it.

There was absolutely no way she would continue to be this upset. Not on his watch. He needed to do something. And improvising was one of his many, many, talents.

"Can I make a quick stop somewhere? I left my chem notebook there and I need it for tonight's homework." The words left his mouth before he could fully comprehend them. He was ready to improvise, he just didn't know he was this ready.

"Huh?" Two lost green eyes turned to look at him, missing a spark that he would walk through fire for.

"Chica delivery, I just confessed my feelings for you and this is how you react? If you don't like me, just say so, I guess we could still be friends." Messing with her was just too entertaining.

And it would hopefully help with her current mood. Annoyance was better than indifference.

"WHAT" she sounded alarmed, and she looked the part as well.

Matteo put on his best offended face "you mean to tell me that I just put myself out there, put our friendship on the line, and you didn't hear me? This was a horrible idea in the first place." Luna's eyes were growing wider by the second and Matteo was doing his very best to hold back the laugh that was threatening to come out.

"Matteo, I'm sorry I had my head somewhere else and I-"

"I'm just kidding, I just need to pick up my chem book, is that okay?" Matteo interrupted, fearing whatever answer the messy haired girl had for his joke, yes, it wasn't necessarily a lie, but he wasn't ready and to hear the answer to his inevitable confession, he didn't need any discouragement or he might never come clean about how he thinks she has galaxies in those gorgeous green eyes, how she's his first thought in the morning and the last one before he closes his eyes. He wasn't ready for her to tell him that they were just friends and he was definitely not ready for her to tell him that she felt the same, he was driving and they wouldn't make it out alive if he started freaking out whilst driving.
