Luna thought she could do it, she was wrong.
The trick itself seemed simple, but it wasn't. Luna thought she could handle it, she could figure out how to finish the trick while she was on the air, but no, none of that happened. Instead, she landed on her right foot, which started hurting her like hell two seconds after she landed, she just held on to it with one hand while whimpering. Being alone in the rink wasn't very helpful either, there was no one around which meant that she would have to figure out how to: A) Get out of the Rink & B) Call for help cause there was no way her ankle was okay. After 2 minutes of whimpering and dragging herself to the nearest rink exit she hears a familiar voice.
"Chica Delivery, What the hell?!? What are you doing on the ground? Are you okay? Do you nee-"
That's when Matteo Balsano, the "King" of the rink noticed the whimpering and Luna's hand on her ankle, along with some tears falling along her cheeks. He quickly skated towards her and attempted to help her get up, which didn't really work because she kept letting go to hold onto her ankle. At this point Matteo was getting way too concerned so he just picked her up and carried her to the nearest chair he could find as quickly as he could.
"Th-Thanks-s" Luna said in between sobs, or at least that's what Matteo heard.
"I have some questions but I figure you would rather I ask them after I call an ambulance?"
"Yeah, I-If you d-don't mind" she said as she massaged her ankle to the best of her ability to try and numb the pain a little bit. As Matteo nodded and quickly took his phone out to call and ambulance he noticed her massaging it a bit more intensely so as soon as he could hold his phone to his ear with his shoulder he took her ankle and started massaging it the way he learnt to years ago when something similar had happened to him, she quickly leaned back into the chair behind her letting him massage her ankle.
"911. What's your emergency?'
"Hello, My friend just hurt her ankle while skating and it's hurting her a lot for it to be okay."
"Yes, it might be something else, I will send an ambulance, can you give me your current location?"
"The Jam and Roller in Main Street"
"Okay, while the ambulance gets there try to put some ice on the ankle, it will be there as soon as possible"
"Okay, Thank You" With that Matteo hung up and put his phone in his pocket, he had to look for ice, he was sure there was ice behind the counter since they used it for pretty much everything, but he couldn't, well, he didn't want to leave Luna by herself in this condition so he carried her once more. This time, he took her to the couch, the orange one that was right in front of the counter so that he could get the ice, the fact that she hadn't said more than 6 words to him didn't occur to him until he was bagging the ice, the fact that it was bothering him so much surprised him even more.
"Thank you, by the way" he heard her say quietly, she stopped sobbing but some tears still found their way to her chin. "And I'm sorry for bothering you with this, if you want, you can go to the rink and I'll just wait for the ambulance to come" She said quietly but loud enough for him to hear her, Matteo didn't know why she was saying this, they had been friends for some time and even though they weren't the closest she was still one of his favorite people on the face of the earth, the way she changed the energy of a room by just walking in or how her smiles made him feel warm, 'You're in love' Gaston would always say, but Matteo would deny it every time the words left his best friend's mouth. Crap, he got distracted, he figured it had only been about a minute since Luna offered him an easy out, but he didn't even have to think twice to know he wouldn't take it.
"Nah, don't worry, I don't even need the practice anyway, after all, I'm not the King of the Rink for nothing" Matteo said smugly with a grin on his face hoping that Luna would take this chance to start a debate between them to distract herself from the fact that her ankle was not in the best of conditions.
"I wonder why you keep forgetting that you are the only one that calls yourself that, oh yeah, my bad, your boyfriend calls you that as well" Luna said, knowing what Matteo was doing, but being grateful nonetheless cause it was working.
"He wishes he was my boyfriend, hate to break it to you Chica Delivery, but you probably do too."
Matteo wanted to disappear off the face of the earth after saying that, he took one look at her and her face was red, a tomatoe was an understatement, she sat frozen, not making a move, Matteo figured it was best to hand her the ice he placed on her ankle and was holding to make sure it didn't fall, she just stared at him, but luckily for both of them the paramedics got there before she could say something.
XXX I hope you enjoyed the very first part, like I said in the beginning, any comment or suggestion is appreciated, and well, hopefully i'll see you within the next week or so, I know it was sorta short but I had to start somewhere, and if I kept writing, it would've a very, very long and boring chapter XXX
