Chapter 5: The Day of the Festival

Kenma POV

Today Kuroo was slightly different. He was fidgeting but looked excited at the same time. 

"Kuroo, is something happening today? You seem excited."

"Yeah, there is a festival today and something else."-Kuroo

He mumbled the last part so it was hard to understand. I didn't know there was a festival today. Summer break in Nekoma starts August 10th and today is the 3rd. I honestly can't wait so I can play my games more often. 

"Who are you going to the festival with?"

"Going with Chifuyu, Mitsuya, and my other good friends. Why, do you want to come with?"-Kuroo

I thought for a moment. I did want to meet with his other friends but I would rather not pry into it. Kuroo already warned me and I could just play my games. Curiosity killed the cat.

"I want to come with you. Is that alright?"

"As long as you don't get in the way of a serious fight and not judge me or my other friends then sure you could come."-Kuroo

I went to the group chat this time one first-year is added.  I opened the group chat quickly and texted them that I am going to a festival with Kuroo and his crew. Some of them responded immediately saying to text them when I come back. 

I was somewhat nervous about meeting with his buddies. The school day and the long volleyball practice have ended. Kuroo made me ride on the back of his bike. I was so scared that I squeezed Kuroo's waist hard. Kuroo didn't feel it because I am short and my arms couldn't even reach all around him. 

"Finally, you came."-A boy with a long blonde braid and a dragon tattoo on his left temple.

"I wasn't late. I came here on time, Draken."-Kuroo

Draken! I heard that name before. Wait he is the vice-captain of the group called Toman. Oh my god, he is friends with him. I looked over to see a girl in a yukata or a kimono that had blonde hair tied up to a bun. Next to her was a wavy blonde hair boy who was short compared to Draken.

"This is my childhood friend named Kenma. He doesn't know and he won't butt in."-Kuroo

"If you say so."-Draken

"Hey, Emma. Having a date with Draken?"-Kuroo said with a teasing tone

"Baji!"-Emma said while blushing

"Where is Chifuyu, Mitsuya Angry, Smily, Hinata, and Takemichi?"-Kuroo

"Angry and Smily are going to every food stall. Mitsuya just went to help a little boy who got lost. Chifuyu is buying you food and drinks because he thought you would be hungry. We are just waiting for Hinata and Takemichi."-The boy with wavy blonde hair

"Something that they would all do. Mikey, why are you just waiting? I thought you would be at all of the pastry and sweet stalls."-Kuroo

This midget is the 'Invisible Mikey.' There is no way that this kid is the boss. 

"So Kenma, what do you like to do? We have never heard your name from Baji before."-Emma

Wait Kuroo doesn't talk about me.? He never stops blabbing about me to our teammates. That is odd.

"I am a game addict. I also play volleyball because Kuroo forced me to."

"Uhm, sorry but who is Kuroo?"-Emma

"Oh, right you guys call him Baji, not Kuroo."

"Oh alright. Baji I didn't know you liked volleyball. I only thought you liked to fight."-Emma
