Broken Hearts Heal(A Fairy Tail Fanfiction)

1. Saved

       I hobbled down the streets of Magnolia, calling and calling for Himitsu, but no luck. I was literally starving to death, my last meal being 2 days ago. I felt extremely weak, and I stumbled and tripped many times on my journey. My exceed, Candy, gave me a concerned look. "Please rest, Luna. Candy is afraid that you will fall and get hurt." I looked up at him, a periwinkle exceed with a green scarf, red hat, and a plush candy cane I had given him when he was born. I smiled and tried to reassure him. "Don't worry. I'll be okay."I cradled him in my arms and scratched him behind his ears.  "Besides, we've come so far. I can't rest now when we may be so close". Candy gave an unsure nod and we continued on. As I continued to walk, a man and his posse were walking towards me. They didn't look safe, much less kind. One came up to me and nudged me in the shoulder so hard that it caused me to stumble back. He wore nothing but a black t-shirt and ripped jeans. His arms were filled with tattoos and he wore a black bandana. "Ouch, you hit me!" he said and pretended to wince. I tried to crack a smile. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to." I said and tried to walk away as quickly as possible. The man grabbed my shoulder. "Hey, not so fast. You need to repay us, don't you?". I turned to see sly grins on all three of them. I started to make my sword with my magic, but I wasn't quick enough. The man pinned me to a tree and smiled.  "You're a nice one, aren't you? Nice body, pretty face, and-"Candy dashed out from behind me and sank his teeth into the man's hand. The man shrieked in pain and threw him against the tree. I shrieked in horror as Candy slumped against the tree, unconscious. "Yeah T-bone" was heard from the man's posse. As he turned to bask in his glory, I mustered up all of the power I had left and created a sword and slashed the man known as T-bone across the back. He winced in pain and fell to the ground. That's it. I was at my limit. And there were still two more men. I fell to the ground as black dots started to fill my vision. One of the men pulled out a gun and pinned the barrel to my temple. "You went too far, little lady. And now, guess what? You're cat's dead, and you'll will be t-""Water Slicer!" I heard behind me. The man was ambushed by blades of water. "Ice make, hammer!" A man with raven hair hit the other man on the head with a hammer made of ice, knocking him unconscious, along with the two other men that lay on the ground. I then saw Candy get up and plead them, saying something I couldn't make out. The black dots completely flooded my vision, and I completely lost consciousness.
