Himitsu’s POV
I sat on a warm rock, streaks of sun beaming through the thicket of leaves. I needed to find Luna, but I didn’t know where to look. I sighed and ran my fingers through my blonde hair, careful to avoid my white eyepatch. Where should I look? She was probably somewhere inside the city of Magnolia, a five minute walk from the forest I was in. But where in Magnolia? It was so crowded, bustling with people.
Maybe she was in the quiet part, near Fairy Tail? I thought for a little longer, before getting a tug on my skirt from my flying cat, Sandy. “Maybe she’s near that guild, Fairy Tail. She’s loved it for like, forever, right? I wouldn’t be surprised if she was near here.” Sandy was right. She was most likely nearby, looking for me in return. I stood up and nuzzled Sandy with my nose.
“Thanks for the help Sandy” I said and looked up at the sky. Please be at Fairy Tail, Luna. I took a deep breath and stood up. Suddenly, and arrow from behind came out of nowhere and hit the tree in front of me, inches from my face. Crap. The huntsmen are back. I held Sandy as I started to sprint through the dark underbrush. I heard the thunderous hooves of the horse crash against the hardened earth.
Looking back to see how close the huntsmen was to me, I missed the rock nearing me. Due to the lack of attention, I tripped and fell over the rock. Hard. I tumbled for what seemed like miles down into a deep ditch and eventually stopped at the bottom, unconscious and blood flowing freely from a gash in my arm. Sandy screamed for help.
Lucy’s POV
NATSU I WILL PERSONALLY KILL YOU. I WILL DO IT WITH BARE HANDS IF YOU DON’T PUT ME DOWN THIS INSTANT. STOOOOOP.” I whined, thrown over Natsu’s shoulder. We were walking through the forest, returning from a job. The rest of team Natsu couldn’t come; Erza was secretly meeting with Jellal today, Gray finally gave in and went on a job with Juvia, and Wendy went with Romeo and Cheria to the park. So today, it was just me and him, with a certain blue flying cat close behind. Natsu chuckled at my response.
“Fine. I will. WHEN YOU CALL ME KING NATSU AND SAY NATSU IS THE BEST!”
“IN YOUR DREAMS YOU IDIOT!”
“THEN FORGET ABOUT IT LUCE"
I giggled and pounded his back with my fists. Suddenly, he stopped abruptly. “Hey Luce, do you hear that?” Natsu put me down as I listened. The sound of singing cicadas filled my ears.
“No, I don-“ Then, I heard it. A faint “Help!” came from a distance. Wasting no time, the three of us ran to the sound. Soon, we reached a deep ditch filled with rocks, and at the bottom, a ginger cat sobbed and screamed desperately.
We slid down the steep slope to see a girl about our age, bloodied and dirty with a white eyepatch. The cat wasn’t in much better condition, swaying back and forth while trying to stand, and one of her wings looked broken. “Please…help…us,” the exceed forced out before collapsing into my arms. “She has an Exceed, meaning…” Natsu nodded. “Yeah. She’s a dragon slayer.” Natsu gently picked the girl up and carried her bridal style.
“Right now, we can’t dwell on that. She needs medical attention, and quick. Right now, we need something to block that gash of hers.” Natsu put the girl down and started to take off his pants. “WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!” I screamed, blushing profusely. “WHY DON’T YOU JUST USE YOUR JACKET YOU IDIOT?!” Natsu simply shrugged. “My pants are thicker than my jacket, so-“ I rolled my eyes. “Okay. Just, okay,” I said, shaking my head, hoping that would hide the blush that had risen in my cheeks.
I pulled out a familiar gold key. “Gate of the Maiden, I open thee! Virgo!” Virgo appeared in front of me and smiled.
“Yes, princess?”
“I need a thick fabric, quick.”
“As you wish, princess.”
Virgo disappeared and appeared again, this time with a thick brown cloth. I quickly grabbed the cloth and wrapped it around the deep gash in her arm. Virgo returned to the spirit world and Natsu and I started sprinting to the guild with Happy close behind us.
