2. Awkward...

Juvia's POV

Gray-sama and I were coming back from a job. We were walking for a while now, Gray telling me about his childhood and about Ul. It was heartbreaking, how she died, well, not exactly, protecting him from that monster. I don't think he noticed, but Gray-sama actually didn't resist when Juvia held onto his arm. I blushed at the thought of him confessing his love... no, no, no Juvia. Don't think about things like that. I was completely content with him allowing me to hold his arm. 

Just then, I saw a group of men crowd around a girl who had just fallen. Even from far away, you could tell that she was sick and crippled. I reluctantly let go of Gray-sama's arm and hit one of the men with my blades of water. Gray-sama joined in too, hitting one of the guys with his hammer, and he lay down with the two other unconscious men on the ground. 

After we finished them, a once unconscious exceed suddenly sprang up and pleaded "Please help us. We haven't eaten in days, and she might d-d-d-". The exceed sprang into tears. I lifted him gently in my arms and held him against my chest. 

"Shhhhh. It'll be alright. Don't cry. Juvia and Gray-sama will do everything to help, okay? Don't cry, don't cry." Juvia kissed his nose and cradled him in my arms. Gray-sama just stared at me kiss and coo at the cat. "Ummm, what should we do with the girl Gray-sama?" I asked. Gray-sama immediately snapped out of it and easily lifted her onto his back. With a closer look, the girl had long white hair and a black and white dress that was dirty and torn. "Let's take her to your place, since mine is, well, kinda, okay REALLY cold". Gray-sama blushed and scratched the back of his head. I giggled. It was funny to watch Gray-sama so flustered. My giggle only made him blush harder, which made ME blush. After our blushing session and awkward silence, we began to walk to Fairy Hills.

Gray's POV

Great. IM STILL BLUSHING!!! First I stare at her, then I blush, and then she LAUGHS??!! AND THEN I BLUSH EVEN HARDER???!!!! Mavis, why do you hate me?                                                                    Anyway, the girl on my back was scarily light. She needed food, fast. Juvia, that Happy #2, and I hurried to Fairy Hills. Juvia ran ahead, saying that she had to tidy up and brought that cat with her, so I was left alone with this girl. I kept going, and walked down the hallway to... crap I forgot her room number!                                           "Over here, Gray-sama" I heard in back of me. I facepalmed. I PASSED HER ROOM! I felt stupider than flamebrain as I entered her apartment. She had tea on the table, plus iced-tea for me.                              "Thanks, Juvia," I lay the girl on the couch and sat on the loveseat opposite to her as Juvia came out of the kitchen with grilled cheese sandwiches. I sipped my iced tea and bit my sandwich as Juvia sat next to me. There was an awkward silence, until it was broken with a blood curdling scream.
