"EVERYTHING ABOUT YOU"

Delilah is someone different. She has blue-purple hair she dyed herself, and wears dresses that look like they were trending back in the pioneer days.

Point is, she's cute, and she thinks that the best way for her to win me over is by telling me what she thinks.

"Thanks for taking me here, Conner! I like looking around these kinds of shows, I mean, seriously, thank you, thank you. I can't repay you more."

"Yeah, I don't know much about cars though. I got my drivers license long before this all started, but I never really got a chance to put my hands on the wheel."

"You dressed up for this today! Looks real neat, how you did that combination!"

I wore a plaid collared shirt and acid-wash jeans that day. I have no idea what she means by "neat". Cause I wear this every day that I don't go to work.

"Well, thanks. Let's check out the show now, thanks."

The big stadium is filled with all kinds of cars, sports cars, antique cars, racing cars, even boring SUVs. They gathered up all these for a mid-apocalypse car-show.

"Look at this one! How did they even... get the cars here?"

"Don't know. Maybe they just visited a big car warehouse and... took all of them."

"Listen, I know you're probably not going to have the best time here, but I'll make this as fun as it can be, ok?"

"Don't worry, we'll manage."

I don't know much about Delilah, but I think SHE actually likes cars. Whenever she paid attention to me, she agrees with everything I say, which is really suspicious.

"Conner! Look at this!"

"What?"

"It's a cadillac! Not often do you see these around anymore. I'd love to be in a super fancy car, celebrity dress, drink as much Fizzy as I please... That would be the life!"

"I'm pretty happy where I am right now."

"Yeah, me too! I get what you mean."

Technically, she shouldn't know what I mean because of how vague I was.

"Which one catches your eye, Conner?"

"Hm, I did have an interest in the Shelby GT 500, I've always liked that car a ton!"

"Yes, yeah I love that one! It always looks so slick, bridging the gap between a muscle car and a sports car. You don't see those cars often."

"Think we can find one here?"

"Why shouldn't we?"

Both of us walked around, gazing at cars like they're museum artifacts, all of that stuff. It didn't feel too sincere to me, it was still fun though.

"Conner?"

"Yuh?"

"Everything about you is mysterious."
