I sat on the old rundown couch watching the Boss and Johnny move bodies around trying to clean up.
Boss: You know you could help.
Me: I could, and probably should, but I won't. I don't do cleaning up dead bodies.
Johnny: This is bull shit. We should have people who do shit like this.
Boss: Really?
He walked to a body.
Boss: Hey you wanna help us? No? Then I guess we're on our own.
Johnny: I'm just saying, Ariann has the right idea. We shouldn't be doing this shit.
Me: We need to get a crew together. Fast!
Boss: Well I met a guy named Carlos. He helped me bust out...
Johnny: Yeah. Well I met some other people in lock up. They might be into helping us. But you know you need to prove your the real thing.
Boss: Let do it. Ariann go meet Carlos since I know he's more than willing to help. Ill meet the other two.
Me: Okay.
Boss: Johnny go do some recruiting on the streets.
Johnny: Alright. Just one question. What kind of crew you looking for?
******
I'm driving to some car shop to meet this Carlos guy. The boss said he's loyal. So I hope he's worth the trip. I pull up to this small little car shop and I see this cute little Hispanic guy standing there. He wore a purple Bennie and a white tee.
Me: Cute.
I got out and walked up to him.
Me: Are you Carlos?
Carlos: Yeah. Who are you?
Me: Ariann. I was sent here on strict Saints business.
Carlos: The leader sent you?
Me: Yes. So... you wanna join?
Carlos: Yeah. But how do I know he's serious about wanting me?
Me: Well, that's why I'm here. To prove that the Saints are loyal to its recruits.
Carlos: Hmm. Can you help me with something?
Me: Sure.
Carlos: I need you to help me repossess my buddy's car.
I raised an eyebrow at him.
Carlos: He owes me money. And he's been dodging me for a while.
I nodded.
Me: I see. You know where his car is?
He smiled at me.
*****
Me: Hurry before the cops come!
Carlos: Ok it's hooked. Go.
He jumped into the passenger seat and I drove off. I was trying to steer the truck and was doing a pretty shit job at it. Not only was it hard to drive that thing. But apparently Carlos didn't strap the car up right and it was swinging everywhere. I was driving recklessly. Not caring about any type of traffic laws I was most likely violating. But thank god the car shop wasn't too far away. I looked over and saw Carlos dial a number on his phone.
Carlos: Hey Ramon, what's going on? Listen I don't have a lot of time. I just wanted to tell you... I stole your car.
I giggled.
