First meet - family au

Plot: good and egg meet bad for the first time :)

Notes: they're pretty young in this!! Egg is 18 good is 14 and bad is 6.

"Daniel can you please wake up you need to meet him" the slightly irritated dad, Halo, said trying to wake up his son for the past 30 minutes.

Good groaned and stuffed his face further into the pillow. "Who's so important that I have to wake up at 6 am for?" He asked, though it came out in a muffled tone his father still heard it. "Well, he'll be living with us for a couple of months, so you might want to get to know him already" Halo said, sitting on the edge of his childs' bed petting his head softly. "He'd been through a lot— your mother hadn't really been the best to him. So at least try to be nice to him" he added while ruffling the 14 year olds' hair.

Halo stood up ready to go downstairs back to their unexpected guest. "Oh, it's also 1 pm and not 6 am good. You might wanna' get up already either way" Halo said with a chuckle before leaving and closing the door behind them.

Daniel sighed as he turned around his vision facing his rooms ceiling. Someone living with them for a few months? His dad said that he came from his moms', could it be the same kid he saw before his mom left them? He also said she wasn't treating him well..

Good groaned, not wanting to over think the situation. He sat up and began fixing himself to look more presentable.

'The new kid is probably gonna' be annoying' good thought. He never liked his older brother that much, and Egg haven't tried to fix their friendship either, signing that he doesn't want to deal with Daniel in anyway. Oh how we hated Egg with a passion, he was always the favorite every situation. Of course his dad loved him, but it's clear as day who's the favorite in this house.

Good didn't notice that he'd been done a couple of minutes ago and now just glaring at his reflection in the mirror. "This is stupid" Daniel spat out to no one in particular. Finally leaving his room to go downstairs and meet this mystery guest.

And his earlier predictions were correct, The same kid he always saw in his flashbacks was standing behind his dads' leg slightly hiding while Egg was trying to talk to him— clearly failing. Daniel couldn't help but feel good seeing how the 'perfect little angel' can't even talk to his own younger brother.

Good decided it's rude enough for him to make fun of Egg like that, so he cut his thoughts short and went down the steps leading to their living room.

"Daniel! You actually made it!" His dad was the first one to notice, clearly he didn't have any faith for his son to go down like he ordered. And you can't really blame him if you know how stubborn the 14 year old is..

The greeting cut Eggs unsuccessful attempts off and made him turn around and look at his sibling. He looked like he wanted to say something, but he was cut-off by their dad speaking again. "Ok listen children. I'm sorry to leave in such a short notice but it's urgent, I've already been a hour late— I'll come back this afternoon. Show Darryl around ok?" He said quickly giving his older sons a short pat and waving a small goodbye to the youngest. And with that he was gone leaving his 3 children home alone.

The silence between the 3 was awkward and and it looked painful to Darryl to some extent, which Egg took notice to and tried to ask "Darryl are you o—" "please don't call me Darryl, it's Bad" Egg was cut off by Bad.

"Oh." Egg scratched the back of his neck awkwardly, clearly not knowing what to say. Good sighed at his failed attempt and took over this conversation. Crouching down to look the child in his eyes. "What's wrong kid, why're you so tense?" The sudden softness in Goods voice took Egg by surprise. But can you blame him when most of the time he only heard pure anger and annoyance come out of that same mouth?

Bad looked down staring at nothing in particular, fiddling with his hands a bit. "I'm not used to this.. at all" Bad said, his voice was quiet even slightly weak.

It was somewhat clear to Daniel what his dad meant with "wasn't treated the best", the kid had no social skills and it sounds like he haven't talked to anyone ever. What could have lady done to make him like this?

Good sighed again, he knew Egg wasn't ever going to let go of what Good is about to do, but oh well. He can tolerate it for a bit.. Daniel softly put a hand on the kids head and brought him closer to his shoulder, letting him snuggle on it while he engulfed the child in a warm caring hug. "It's alright kiddo— we'll get that feeling over with soon".

Although the hug short, it was long enough to keep Egg stunned for a couple of seconds. Is this the same Daniel that told him to go to hell yesterday?.

Good soft act had gotten away a couple of minutes later, he groaned at how he let this kid change his act so quickly. It was just a random kid for gods sake.. Daniel rubbed the bridge of his nose and said "Egg show this guy around— wake me up when lunch is done" and made his way upstairs back to his room again.

The last thing heard was a slam coming from his bedroom door as the other 2 siblings were left in the living room again. "Well," Egg broke the silence, "how about I show you where your room is?" He asked whiling offering a hand for Bad to hold, which he agreed and took quietly.

Egg took notice on how bad kept staring at Goods bedroom door, but didn't question anything about it.

A couple of hours had passed since Bad arrived. After Egg showed his around the place they hung out a bit, Egg got to know more about the child like his favorite hobbies, how he likes to hold peoples' hands when he's walking anywhere, his age and birthday, some friends he used to have in his old town, even how he used to love collecting flowers and trying to replant them in his little garden he secretly made in his room, it obviously didn't work. But it gave Egg an idea that he could talk about with his father once he gets back home.

After long chats between the 2 Egg had noticed how tried Bad looked, he has been a long trip for him after all. So he told Bad to go and get some rest while lunch cooks up.

But that was 3 hours ago, now he's making his way upstairs to wake Bad and Good up from their naps, but when he reached Bads' room he noticed that it's empty. And that there was no Darryl to be found.

He decided to ask Good if he'd seen him, Daniel is usually up at this time either playing video games or talking to his very obvious simps— not to mention he knows about them but he doesn't even bat an eye to them, jerk enough.

But this time Egg didn't hear anything coming out of the 14 year olds room, if anything he only heard snoring and saw no light coming out of underneath the door.

Egg opened the door to see something he didn't really expect. Daniel was laying down—sleeping peacefully— with one hand over his face and the other carefully wrapped around Bad, mindful not to crush him underneath his arms weight. Bad was also sleeping peacefully laying down on Goods' stomach cuddling closely.

Egg didn't want to ruin their sleepy bonding, so he only snapped a picture of it sending it to his father, he's sure he'd like to see something like that.
