Holly's POV

I was in my next class, which was algebra. I hated math; it was just so difficult to understand. I was sitting at a table with a few of the guys that were sitting with Charlie at lunch today, writing stupid math notes in my notebook. Even though my body was in math, my mind wasn't. My mind kept wandering to Charlie, and how nice he was to me even though he didn't know me at all. I didn't know how time passed by so quickly until the bell rang. I packed my stuff and headed out. I was now on my last class of the day and was just entering the room when someone knocked me over. "Watch where you're going," I grumbled, not in the mood. "Why don't you make me, new girl." I look up and was looking at the redhead guy that was messing with me at lunch. I was embarrassed that he was saying I could do nothing. It made me feel smaller than him, ready to beat me.

Charlie's POV

I finished the sketch when the bell rang, I folded up the paper and grabbed my backpack before leaving the classroom. Along the way, I saw Kyle picking on Holly. I felt angry, wondering why he was so mean to her. "Leave her alone," I snapped. "What did you say?" Kyle snapped back, whipping around to glare at me. "You deaf?" I asked, raising my voice, then screamed directly in his ear, "Leave. Her. Alone!" Kyle covered his ear and tried to punch me clumsily. I avoided the punch easily and punched his stomach gently, but forcefully. Kyle crippled up and fell over. Wimp.
